1. im trying to make a butane bomb where you strap about 20-30 sparklers around a butane can, add a fuse and light it. im just wondering if it has to be butane or wether it can be something like a can of deoderant (or other aerosols).

2. im making a sparkle bomb but i dont want to make one of the ones that fizzles and makes all of the sparkles go up... i want to make one of the ones that actually goes BOOM. How do you ensure that you make the one that goes boom instead of one of the fizzly ones.

Confinement is key for your 'sparkler bomb'. Sparklers burn slowly, but the burn rate can be increased by grinding up the material. Without a strong container to put it in no explosion will result, just a lot of white hot fire and sparks.

I don't think your "butate bomb" is going to work with 20-30 sparklers. Modern aerosol cans tend to vent rather than explode when overpressured due to heat, which will make a jet of fire but no bang. You need a explosive to rupture the can.

His butane idea might work if one of the sparklers colse to it melts through before the others do, but thats a one in a hundred shot

just go real slow on a normal grinder and have a turkey pan under it to catch the fun stuff
then go over it with a pretty decent magnet to get most of the iron from the stick out

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT use a bench grinder or any other power tool grind up sparklers, you blistering ignoramus!

All it takes is one stray spark from the steel wire hitting the grinding wheel to send your whole batch up in smoke - and you with it.

You don't need anything fancy at all to grind up sparkler material - It's quite soft, and easily flakes off of the wire when bent. Just flake it all off and grind it finer by hand if you need to, either with a mortar and pestle, razor blade, or whatever you preferred means is.

i hate it when people think there so hardcore because they can take apart a whole bunch of sparklers and light it...

...you would have to have a shit load of sparklers to puncture a can of butane. if i were to do it, i would remove the spray tip thingy of the butane and place an m80 up against the nozzle (its weakest point) that way you would actualy have a chance of lighting it.

or you can take the sparklers and mix it with acetone in a test tube and hopefully you can filter out the shit that make the sparklers burn time lower...

You dont have to grind sparklers to make a sparkler bomb. Just get the old ones with the metal stick, and duct tape them together. Dont tell me it wont work because it does i have done it before.

Hmmm this is a video of me and my cousins from interstate using sparklers for fun...while i agree there is nothing hardcore about it, its good fun for parties with adults or little kiddies
