scala!

well i just came across the scala programming langauge today and was wondering if its worth my time learning.

I vote ASM... but it depends as every language is made specifically for a certain purpose. What would you be coding?

well its operable with java, c++ and i believe a couple others ive taken your advice and im staying away from .net but easy is tempting,however im sticking with it.

I would vote PHP, Ruby, or possibly ColdFusion if you are into web development. Then again, if you want to get into web development, XHTML, CSS, and/or javascript are needed. Besides that I'd say C/C++ even though their not easy, Python is extre***y easy and will help alot. And if your going to make graphics with C/C++ please use OpenGL and NOT DirectX!
