I have checked google, have even asked jeeves (yes i know he sucks) nothing found there to help me. I was just curious if anyone that has xp knows if you can run a dos type window/promt or anything while still in xp...

Any help very much appreciated :)
So thanks to all in advance.

What are you using dos for? Is it a certain program, or do you want the windows command prompt?

yes, its called the Command Prompt. In XP go to Start>Run>then type cmd in the box, and the DOS command prompt comes up. OR go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt, and its the same thing

the algorithm killed jeeves.

if this is because you want to run dos-apps in windows, use dosbox
otherwise, commandprompt (start-->run-->cmd as stated above or go to system32 (i think, havent been on windows in a while), and click command.com(once again, i think))

Get a DOS emulator. They can be found at the same type of sites as emulators for old video games.
