Myspace Account Hack

Ok, first off I am going to say this is my first post, and after reading some of the other posts and responses its kinda funny because from what I've seen people just flame everyone else for wanting to do something stupid or funny that others find pointless or "retarded". Anyways I just wanted to share a method that I have infact used in my past to gain access to someones Myspace account.

It started out when I had my first semester in college, I had met this girl and her and I had started seeing each other for about 6-7 months. Well there is a "guidance counselor" I 'm not exactly sure what his position was but that will do, anyway he had a myspace account that he used to talk/flirt with all the college girls, and when my girlfriend told me he kept sending her messages I started to get pissed. I then said ok, "play along with him" and I had an idea.

Using the free program I'm sure many of you are aware of "Cain & Abel" I brought my laptop to the library and sat in the back in a closed room, I then connected my laptop to the network and started to to ARP poison the network. (Now I'm sure most of you may know what I did, but for those who dont I will explain). An ARP poisoning basically makes all the traffic on the network go through your computer before it goes to the router and on to the rest of the internet. So If you sent and email or logged into a website it would go to my computer, and then to the router and then to the internet giving me the ability to intercept the data, instead of going straight to the router and then the internet.

With that in place I gathered over 200 usernames and passwords for various websites and student accounts within 20-30 min. I was only interested in one account as you may already know, and when I saw it I then knew his IP address on the network, I then only focused on his computer. I logged into his myspace and changed his password but only temporarily, this was a lure. I neded him to log into the email he would use to reset his Myspace password if it was ever forgotten(In this case changed!), and just as I had predicted he logged into his Yahoo account. So now that I had his Myspace account, and his Yahoo account as well it was time to get to work.

I logged into his Myspace account and took all of his women pictures off and replaced them with men, actually gay pictures. I made sure I put up the gay pride flag as well, and joined him to some of the gay groups too. I then drew up this long detailed message on how I was coming out of the closet and I was always nervous but I finally found the strength..blag blah blah. Anyway I then made sure his Yahoo account password was changed as well, so he could not reset his password to his Myspace page. A long story short he was tortured by this for almost 4 days until he called Myspace and explained the problem, it was later straightened out, but it was so worth it. He had all the girls he flirted with walking by him for those 4 days looking at him, and to see him having such an awkward look was so great, and the fact he had no way to contact most of the people on his myspace to tell them it wasn't real was even better. To this day he doesn't know who would have done that to him, and I still laugh about it occasionally.


Remember, this arp poisoning technique will only work on a LAN network, not over the internet or over wireless. It will only work if your hard wired into the network, now if your hard wired into a wireless router you cain ARP poison the wireless clients connected to the network as well as the hard wired clients too.

Yes, that would work (I can't find anything that wouldn't). However, it only works for Windows OS, so you can use BackTrack and do the exact same thing, right ishkur?

it works for any OS, because you're dealing with the TCP/IP connection... not the OS. Cain & Abel is for n00bs, im sorry.. but it is. and "calling myspace" .. ive never heard of that being done... especially by a nobody idiot college counselor.

yes, that's exactly right, you get the passwords from everyone in the world who is connected to the interwebs. If you try sending them a few interwebs, though, sometimes they get stuck in the tubes and don't get there until sunday.

U would only get the usernames and passwords of the people who used the network to login into myspace or w/e while u had ur posioning program running, sum1 correct me if im wrong sum1, jus figured id put wut i thought out there

whenever I'm scanning the mac adress when using APR it takes forever to scan it would take atleast 12 hours to get all of them but when I watch videos on sites it takes no more then ten seconds and I know its not because of how many people are in the network

there is a lot easier to hack someones myspace, if the person is dumb enough they will save their username. you just highlight the name and press control x, control z, then hit tab and your in.

the only problem is that you can't figure out there password you can just get in, but i do like what your way

Wow, all I can say is wow. You know, I haven't been on this site for a long time at all, and I want to clear up one thing right now. Understand there are many different techniques to use to perform different "tasks" with a computer but you guys need to grow up, seriously. I made this post because its a relatively simple way to compromise a myspace or any other vulnerable website login. Sure I could have went through the process of using Nmap, Nessus, and metasploit to perform the same task in a bit more advanced way, but c'mon. I don't think many of the people on here would have had much benefit from it, they would have just been a lot more confused.

So to flame someone for using a method that seems lame to you is pretty much making yourself look lame in my opinion. I nor you were never at the level of expertise our whole life, it started from ground level at one point.

I hope for those who have used this to their benefit, have enjoyed it, and for those who still have problems getting it to work try searching youtube for "ARP Poisoning With Cain" or a similar title.

When I said I would use Nessus, Metasploit, or Nmap, I never said I would use them to ARP poison, you just assumed that. I did day I would use them to perform the same task...meaning getting someone's Myspace password, therefore obviously meaning using what...ohh yeah....a keylogger.

cain is one of the better programmes out there for what it does.

it's not just a fun tool, it's one of the most useful solitary tools you can get on a windows based system, sadly, so few actually USE it as well as it can be used......and im on linux and know that linux has far more capable tools than cain, so =P
