I have Pyromania and a a very mild form of Insomnia, Its a rather dangerous combanation for arson becasue when I cant sleep I burn things and there is not many people round to see it. I just wanted to know if anybody else has either of these disorders and how they cope with them.

Cheers.

I wish I had insomnia. Ambien :)

Im far from an insomniac though. I sleep roughly 15 hours through a normal day. Unless Im doing shrooms or addies but even I can sleep on addies once in a while.

I love fire.
I sometimes get insomnia, not often though.
And yes, the pyromania and insomnia can be a... dangerous combination.
When I can't sleep, I have an incredible urge to go light a field on fire. : )

Your never awake or asleep, Somethings always ticking in your head. Ambien sounds cool, but i dont have severe enough symptoms to be perscribed it. Shame though.

^^Not really, I have ADD and I can't pay attention or watch a movie for shit. Although when I take the pills I am calm. It is cause kids using it as an excuse 24/7 people think that it is fake.

I have insomnia, I need to check out a doctor, I can't sleep unless I take some sleeping pills. I'll have my mom make an appointment.

yeah, kids use the excuse to much... but people that just can't pay attention, a doctor has to make it sound like it's a serious "disease" so parents get all paranoid about their kids and perscribe them pills... what kid doesn't have ADD? look up the "signs" of ADD, it's simple shit like, fidgting, moving around, looking around, etc... it's all just simple shit that EVERYONE (especially kids) does, so then they think somethins wrong with them...
get muh meaning?
and I've been perscribed pills for ADD, those pills don't help at all.
without pills: you're loud and annoying in class, and not working/paying attention...
on pills: you're staring at the wall dead like a zombie, still not working/paying attention...

That TOTALLY explains it.
My friend has insomnia and is a bad pyro. (not fun)
We were sitting in a train station in munich and then he decided it would be a good Idea to have a bonfire in the middle of the parking lot. This guy comes up and tells us its bullshit in german and we use the excuse that we're from england and we do it to keep warm. Then my friend finds an old umbrella and sets it on fire. It looked really cool but WTF. We were in a crowded place and people were all looking at us funny and then the cops from the train got all PMS on us and started chasing us and yelling in german. We got away from them but WTF? I LOVE fire, but this guy has a serious problem.

When I have the pills I won't eat at all. I will be lucky if I eat one time in the whole day.

I just sit there calm, daydreaming when I take my ADD pills.

an ADD or ADHD pill (like aderal or ridelin) will make you concentrate harder, but on almost everything that makes noise or moves. add or adhd isnt a real disorder tho. i think it comes from new technology. young kids have short attention spans. ive never met a person over 20 that has had add but almost 1 out of ten kids say they have it

hmmm... well they're not always "serious problem" and just because someone acts hyper doesn't mean that they have ADHD like doctors and teachers say about everyone now days...

& Ecko, my cousin said the same thing... he used to have to take one of the ADD pills (can't remember what one) and he never ate and now he's really small and skinny.

Most people over 20 that have ADD/ADHD are taking pills to control it. I've got a cousin that has a bad form of it (currently 22) and needs pills for it. Most people can grow out of the disability as they progress and learn how to focus themselves. Some people may never grow out of it and are forced to have to take pills for it.

ADD/ADHD is similar to Autism - if it is diagnosed at an early age and treated (not through medicine), then the extent of the disability can be significantly lessened or even "cured". ADD/ADHD is over diagnosed. If you look at the amount of kids that are being diagnosed right now to ten years ago, it would appear to be an epidemic when the rate has not changed at all. The only thing that has changed is that doctors are becoming to liberal with labeling the children and are pushed to prescribe drugs to kids because then the kids have to come back for refills on their prescriptions and therefore they make money.

The new technology (and especially when it is introduced way to soon to kids) will decrease their attention span because they are constantly doing something and don't know how to deal with having to focus.

Dosage is probably too high then or you need to be taken off that pill and put on another. Have you ever tried taking a 1/2 dose?

I actually suffer from both of these as well
and to those who seem to not knwo what insomnia is very well
You dont sleep
and when you do sleep your semi-concious of whats happening
its like beign able to sleep
and see whats happening
i think its sort of funny cuz they put me on sleeping pills i dont take
so soem of my friends were over cuz we just got done fuckign up some house of this party of kdis we all fucking hated
(moltov [SP??] FTW) but i was ""sleeping"" persay on the couch
and muh bud was on the floor as was about to drop a box on my head
so i fuckign kicked him in the Jaw
and continuted on my halfass sleep fest

but yes
burn things at night
it indeed is fun

Insomnia sucks ass - hence the reason I am up and posting on here.

Burning shit is a fun way to pass the time, but can be a little risky when you finally hit 18 and you burn something that you get caught for (like your rival school's totem pole...)
