You guys are the stupidest fucking idiots I've ever seen on any forum, I can't believe most of you have more than 10 posts with those pea sized brains of yours, you must be a real fuck head to post such stupid shit.
I'm absolutely sure most of you don't know anything about anything... Except probably where to find porno for your masturbation needs, since I highly doubt anyone with your stupidity could even come close to a vagina unless paid (A LOT) for.

If you live in a separate house (not an apartment building) you must go outside to where the cable line for your house joins the main cable line on the poles (and for your sake do this after dark)! All houses have these lines by the way! You have to get a ladder to reach the junction box between your houses line and the main line. The box is very likely locked so you have to find a way to open the lock and be able to lock it again! What you do when you get into the box is take some needle nose pliers and you have to take off their lock between your line and theirs and hook your line into theirs by any one of the unused branches that will be in the box (try several different ones because of differences in "programming"). Then you close the box and turn on your T.V. Oh by the by my cable box isn't a box and doesn't have a lock.

bobble be more spacific, where is the cable comming from? Do you live in an apt? What state you live in? It's really kind of hard to answer your question with other than "yes it is" cause then it gets followed by "Well how can I get it"

well since you obviously have internet...
if you have a cable modem, with lets say road runner, you can just put a spliter on the line before it connects to the modem and then connect a line to your tv, but thats just another way that could possibly be done...
that is of course assuming that you have that type of isp
hope that helps :)

I know there's ways to connect to the IP address of some stations, watching on your computer, but I don't remember any. Try to find that somewhere.

Lol Homo, cruel, but funny. Anyway, the only real way to do it if he doesn't have a digital tuner, would be to crack the box open on the side of his house (or where appropriate) very obvious, very illegal, very stupid... there are sites that have episodes of tv shows, i.e Megavideo.com or Youtube.com

I don't know about cable but if you get a dish then you can either reprogram the card in the front ( you have to know someone who has the equipment to do so and they will zap the card every few months and it will have to be done again) or if you know someone who's good with electronics, it is possible to physically hack the box to get everything for free. Either way you have to know someone who knows what they're doing. Its not really something you can just get directions off the internet for.

I'm not sure how to get "free" cable, but I know that here in Ontario, most cable is provided by a company called Rogers. If you purchase the cheapest cable package, it's about 20$ a month, but only comes with about 30 channels. However, when they install the cable, they put this small metallic cylinder at the connection between two cable wires. On it are a bunch of warnings about electrocution if you remove it, but it turns out that it is simply a filter type device. Removing it gives you about 40-50 more channels, and they have no way of detecting it.
Again, I know it is not free cable, but you get about 70$ worth of cable for around 25$. Not a half bad deal.

True, but yields only basic cable (better than nothign) but that is why alot of companies will tax you MORE for only going broadband than with it and another product. Here in N. florida comcast charges lets say 40 for internet if you take cable. If you don't it's 15 more...well the cheapest cable is 9.99 so you actually "save" 5 bucks by getting it.
Oh and did I ask you to marry me yet?

I think it's called a polarizer but not sure and this is how it's done here in Florida with Comcast, exactly.

Satellite is better for A T.V. set... but that's not what we're talking about. Cable is better if you're looking for something that runs through your internet connection to get the channels, b'cuz cable has way faster internet connection than shitty DSL and satellite connections (usually). there is programs exactly for that, so you get regular TV programs, but most of them suck and only have arabic channels and shit like that. If I could get on blackbay I would find one for everyone, because there was a really good program for that (including movie channels like HBO, other things like MTV, CNN etc...) on there. I'd have to find it again.

Yah dude I was just going to say that when I was a kid my parents had a friend that worked for rogers (in B.C) and he came over to our house and opend the cable box on the side of our house and took that lil filter thing off.
I would say if there is a way to get in to where the cable comes in off the street (lil gray box) and you take that lil silver thing off you should get free cable. I had it when I was a kid. Now thank god I have HD satellite.
I have also herd of being able to hack your satellite box to receive every thing. Im sure you can do the same thing with a cable box. There is this hackers forum that is invite only that has all the info but i cant find any one to invite me.

You can get basic cable and shit but not digital without the box for your house or apartment ill give instructions on both but for the house just take a walk outside till you find the cable line that runs from the poll follow it depends on when the last time your house had cable it might just be ran into a box or it just might be a connection piece thats screwed on to the house thats where they like to disconnect it so they dont have to climb up the poll sometimes it might have a little steel/brass end on it called an isolator which are a bitch but i can tell you or anyone how to get those off it would just take to long to type in this message but thats where to hook it up but if they disconnected it from the poll get a ladder and a hardhat and if accessable cable company coat this dosent make people question as much but up there on the main line they have a splitter with tags that are marked by your address # and your nighbors # and so forth and on the splitter it will be marked one in line and 1-12 out lines then just connect your home # to one of the output lines............. but if you have an apartment then everything will be in the basement if you have a basement it will all be in a box with several splitters but this time your cable line will be marked with a tag that will have your apartment # on it take that cable line and connect it to the one of the splitters output lines but make sure the input line is hooked

Use the fucking internet for something besides asking dumb questions.
Websites like SurfTheChannel.com and Watch-Movies.net are regularly updated and contain basically everything cable does.
I have seen 53 episodes of Weeds for free on STC alone.

Okay, to HAVE a connected cable box in the FIRST PLACE, you need cable service. You may have the box but it won't be connected. The only thing you could do would be A) Hack the Canadian satellite network OR B) get the basic cable and hack it to allow you to get more channels (I'm not sure if this is possible)
To get free satellite television, use this tutorial... you will need to be in the Northern US to access Canadian TV I believe and if you are accessing Canadian TV then you are pretty much safe I think.
