Thoughts on Iraq

I think it was pointless and a mistake to invade Iraq. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. The middle east is a dangerous place and does need help, but we went war in the wrong place and for the wrong reason.

First we went to war because Iraq had ties with 9/11, but that was wrong.
Then because Iraq had "Weapons of Mass Destruction", but that was wrong.
Then because Saddam was a huge threat, but we killed him and its still crazy over there.
Then to Liberate Iraq, but its been 6 years later and it seems we havnt done much over there. Religious terrorists still are blowing up cars and markets all the time.

I seems like Vietnam all over agian, maybe even worse.

reason 1:we get our oil frm lebanon and they not only burned the oil, but they keep attacking lebanon. reason 2:lebanon was asking us for help. reason 3: iraqi refugees were sending messages for us 2 go over there and help them aswell (and now they keep bitching about it). reason 4: i know bush denies it, but yes, we are also over there for oil. -the alkida live in iraq where else are we going to attack after 9-11?

Oil is a economic disaster. The whole reason we are in the middle east is because for years we have been paying eveyone to kill each other. We put Sadam in power. We also payed the Taliban to fight the russians, we payed Iraq to fight Kuwait and Iran, we payed Iran to fight Iraq. This whole situation is our fault, beacuse of our fucked up forgien policy. And now we are giong to fight Iran. Iran hates us and house more terroists than Iraq. Not to mension that Iran has fucked with American multiple times and we havnt stricked bakc. They held hostiges for 444 days, bombed u.s ships, and other shit. America is helping the middle east by giving everyone weapons to kill each other.

ok, i dont nessisarily agree with going to iraq, but we needet to get revenge somehow for 9/11, really rite now what were doing in iraq is looking for osama bin laden, i doubt we will find him, because his father was a professional underground bunker builder, and bin laden did this for much of his life until the russians invaded. granted we paid and gave him stingers, but that was to stop the russians, and obviously they did, but now they are using those same weapons against us. i think bin laden is either dead already, or in one of his secret bunkers right under us forces, kinda like where saddam was, except in a way complex and much farther underground bunker, some of the bunkers bin laden designed were around 20 sq miles. i highly doubt that we will ever kill him without dropping bunkerbuster bombs every few miles, even then we wont find him or even know if we killed him.

For fuck sakes, none of you have one clue to what you're talking about at all. First of all there are many reasons why the United States and it's allies are in the Middle East right now, because:

1. War brings money to those who invest in it.
2. United States is for the rich not the poor, poor/middle class are fighting for these wars while the rich gets richer.
3.To have a hold on the cheap oil in Northern Iraq and to boost/protect the American dollar.
4. To get rid of a ruthless dictator in Iraq (Saddam).
5. There are many terrorist groups in Iraq.
6. The United States wants a powerful Middle Eastern allie to support them in the future to come (That's why the United States and a few other countries are rebuilding the Iraqi military)
7.Holding on to Iraq is a good key spot from fighting off Iran from striking one of United States most closest allie (Israel).
8. The United States (Western world) is a big influence on the Middle East and brings a very big impact to them also.
9. Iraq is a very oil rich country, and it was very hard for them to refine the oil so other countrys including the United States wanted in on the oil, but Saddam Hussein had let in only Germans, Canadians, British and a few others excluding the United States, which there was alot of money there.
10. The United States knew that Saddam Hussein would, could, support terrorism and make the war in Afghanistan alot more complex then it already was.

What the fuck? Lebanon is not a big supplier of Oil to the United States at all, that conclusion is completely wrong. No Lebanon didn't burn their oil fields, that was Iraq. Lebanon wasn't asking for the United States help, the United States went to aid Israel and lost horribly. No Iraqi refugees were asking for any aid from the Americans, you're mixed up the first guld war when Iraq invaded Kuwait.

BlackZodiac, you have a good point. But i still think it was wrong how the Bush Administration hadled this war. They lied to the public and called people who didnt support the war unpatriotic, when people were just trying to ask questions. We did give power to Saddam, and we have given weapons to our ememies and as well as are allies. That doesnt make much sense to me. It seems that most of this is our own fault.

I support the troops but not the war, let them kill each other. we invaded on false grounds (9/11) to go for the oil. 9/11 was a hoax and the goverment set it up to go get oil. if Mr.George W. Bush was so intrested in oil why wouldnt he tap into his own oil fields to help our economy but no he cares about the rich people that dont know shit so he can go make money for them and himself [which in 9/11 was created to get americans to support the war on "terrorism"(more like oil)]

I dont think that 9/11 was a hoax, but there were some wierd things that happend that day. Like the crash site of Flight 93, there was no plane parts found. The black box wasnt found, no plane, no lugadge, just a smoking hole in the ground. And Dick Chaney got the call Flight 93 "crashed" 1 minute before is acually happend. I think we shot down are own plane(I think we had to do this), but the government just coverd this up. But I do sympothize with the people who lost love ones that horrible day.

so do i so much just our fucking goverment is greedy, so many things to prove it was a hoax, lets say a few things off of the top of my head, plane hit pentagon on part being remodeled (coincidence?), perfect hole through 3rd ring in pentagon-look at an architecual map an look what it would have to go through, there is a camera in a guys shop accross the street (nearby) that shows one of the planes without windows(not a passanger plane like described) and making extremly sharp acrobatic turns a boing 747 could not make and i would sit here and name more but im a slow typer and i have to go to sleep because of dam school that is useless in alot of cases. one more major thing, if you watch a 9/11 video of the planes hitting the towers, right before it hits and the millisecond it hits in lower parts of the building you can see explosions (DEMOlition charges, the ones to DEMOlish buildings) experts say its rushing air/dust/smoke but it would not have enough time to get that far down the building and im out if you want to know more things message me

The pentagon was wierd too. The pentagon didnt look like it took a hit from a plane. The impact hole on the side of pentagon was really small compared to the size of a 747. And there was that perfect explosion hole on the other side.

And the 7th building of the world trade center. It was a fallout shelter, held a bunch of secret CIA and Government files, and a block away from the twin tower, but it just collasped after while after the towers fell? I know there was fire, but its a fallout shelter for the government, it can stand a fire. Im not expert, but I looked a controlled explosion. You would think if it was a fire one section would go and the rest would follow, but that didnt happen. It all went down at the same time. I think the government used this inccodent to get rid of secret documents.

Well far as I know once again greedy States got what it wanted, and not just the oil, oil generates money for giving the power to the United States dollar, the United States is trying to "save" their dollar because almost everything is traded in the dollar, and oil helps generate it.

Pentagon was hit by a missile regardless., the one twin towers was blown up on the inside by a 1500 lbs bomb and it had caught fire and burned out 11 floors and didn't collapse.
