Is it possible that the entire new testament is based on the worlds largest coverup of infidelity within a marriage?

-This question does not necessarily reflect my views and is just a thought-

You really thought this was worthy of its own thread?

Why do so many anti-christians on this website think they're so unique? You're in the majority here people!!

That depends on how you interperet the bible. The bible is full of so much information written by so many different people that I'm sure if you wanted to, you could pick certain facts and scenearios out from here or there while ignoring other scenes from different places in the bible and decide that you are right. Almost any statement about the bible can be "proved" true, because it is open to so many different ways of interperation.

You know when you stare at a bumpy surface for a long time and you start to see faces in it and stuff, interpreting the bible is just like that.

thanks to everyone who is actually contributing thought to this thread and not just unfounded idiocy.

Well jesus was born to the virgin mary, and science has since taught us that such a thing is not possible in humans, so is it possible that mary wasnt such a virgin? Obviously the literal translation is that god implanted the seed in her womb, the hymen was still intact, she had no sexual contact with any being to become pregnant.

Alternatively, maybe the virgin mary was some sort of mutant hermaphrodite?

a special note to freetibet... go fuck yourself :)

the thing i hate bout religion is that (christianity mostly) beleives god created the universe blah blah and always reject sciences big bang theory, in that case, who created god? if they say he was just there, then that in a way makes the big bang theory plausible under their own logic. (2 particles were "just" there an collided, no god, nothing else, cause they were just there)

Did you hear that guys!? he referred to me by name but the rest of you were just referred to as "everyone". He must really like me :D

On a slightly more serious note... Anyone who thinks the mother of Christ was a "mutant hermaphrodite" obviously isn't a serious Christian. I don't know why you would go to church once a week. Do you enjoy getting tazed after the pastor calls the police because there is a madman running around church shouting obscenities about the virgin mary?

I believe in Christ, the big bang theory... and in making fun of people who think they know shit

well you said all Christians don't believe in the big bang theory. So you obviously thought you knew that.

Even if Mary was capable of parthenogenesis, she would have born a daughter and not a son.

The translation from hebrew to latin via greek languages is, for me, the starting of the mistake.

This, or Mary was a virgin only if you don't count anal.

lol how could anything just be?

Nothing can just BE except a spiritual entity. Matter, doesn't create itself. Something beyond this world, existed before this world did. That something couldn't have been physical. Physical forms cannot just create themselves.
