View Full Version : Equality and human nature can the two coexist?

In another thread there has been a hot debate on equality, whether it exists, whether it should exist, whether two human beings of different social statuses should be treated equally. All these questions are valid, and I'd like to get some of the views on the subject from other members of ACB who believe they have informed viewpoints on the subject.

Personally I believe that equality is an impossibility, and also, that it shouldn't necessarily be something to strive for. First of all, no one is alike, from birth we start out with different traits genetically, and from there we grow to train different skills. Therefore equality can never be reached on any viable level. This does not mean i encourage discrimination based on race, but discrimination based on skills, intelligence, and ability to perform is a necessity. Obama probably never would have been a professional football player, likewise, Troy Aikman would make a shit president. White people over the past few thousand years, have fucked themselves, by intentionally separating themselves from other ethnicities, in their attempt to place themselves on a higher plain than other races, they have committed many atrocities in the name of religion or politics. Therefore as a race white people will never be viewed by minorities as equally tolerant, just as many white people will probably never view other races as equally intelligent, or equally hard working, or equally skilled in certain trades. Equality is not an obtainable goal, shouldn't we just strive for acceptance of the fact that while no one is equal, also, no one is better at everything.

Every one of us is different, yes. But in the end we all live a life and we all die. When i said earlier the king and the farmer are the same is because they are both fellow human beings who have been cast a different card in life. Doesnt make their atributes the same only their existence as humans. All it means to believe in equality is to just treat every single person you meet with equal amount of respect no matter the gender race or religion. That is all.

October 27th, 2009, 11:36 PM
well if you're saying equality is respect for people no matter race, gender, or religion then no it will never be achieved. though we are all humans, (we live, we breathe, we die) people do not treat each other as a fellow human because they don't always see a fellow human. classism will always effect how one man sees himself to the next

My point is that although none of us have any more worth than another human. We are not equals, and to believe in equality, is to believe in a lie. Where do we draw the line of equality, is a white crackhead equal to a black president? Is a Mexican Drug dealer equal to an Asian scientist? As far as their worth in society, of course not. There is no equality there, not even a comparison. Their worth as human beings is no more equal than the worth of a mange ridden dog is, compared to a purebred. It may be hard to swallow, but it needs to be accepted as far as I'm concerned. Now, don't get me wrong I don't want the value of lives based on monetary assets, or political prowess, but allot of times it is, where is the equality in that. Fuck race and religion and political tendencies, equality isn't based on anything but power, who has it and who is losing it.

Oh ya see now you are just throwing it all out of wack hdeuce. You got this idea from me and Xon's debate. What you are seeming to miss is that we were talking about racial equality.

CriminalAnarchist

I wouldn't think racism's as big of a problem as classism, hdeuce i think you're talking about classisim...

Yeah I know, but who wants to debate about racial equality, Fuck niggers, crackers, wops, micks, wetbacks, spics, beaners, towelheads. Fuck them because none of them are equal to me. Some are greater than I will ever be, some are the lowest slimiest low. How can you compare such a wide range of people. Obviously not every black person is worthless, just like not every white person has worth. Not every arab is a terrorist. But how can anyone say that if i work as a airport security guard, i should make sure the mexicans dont have bombs and that the arabs passports are good. Treating everyone as equals is fucking overboard, stereotype, racially profile, and for fucks sake don't be ashamed to do it. because stereotypes are there because there is some truth in them. Why not just accept the fact that we all have some fucked up shit in our past, and will in our future, I mean when was the last time a black man was arrested for a hate crime against a white man?

Im talking about equality in general. It isn't possible. No one is equal. Why pretend, race, sex, religion, we are none alike.

CriminalAnarchist
October 27th, 2009, 11:54 PM
well equality in general would not exist for one because people love to feel superior to another person and two people make themselves become victimized by in-equality.

Its not something that exist or doesnt exist. Its an ideal, sort of like a commandment or a belief you choose to exercise. I set spiritual goals for myself. They were reverence and equality. That is what i wanted to learn. And equality i practice it everyday every time i meet people. And i have been told i am really easy to speak to and get to know because of this belief i have been able to connect with alot of people from different races. Its not something that can be true or untrue it is just something you can choose to believe in thats all.

That's because it involves human effort. Simply put, if you don't even try to find out for yourself whether it can exist or not then it will never exist for you.

Do ya think chicks dig guys who

1. Treat them as if they are below them

2. Treat them equally

3. Worship them

November 8th, 2009, 04:50 PM
Treat them equally > Treat them as if they are below them
but both work.

exial
November 8th, 2009, 05:15 PM
I will tell you how i treat them. At first i feared chicks. But then of course came to love them. Learned that if you are just looking for a quick fuck then you might as well not treat them good. But if you looking for something more... then well treat them as if they are equals then better than gold. Its got me some good girls in my travels. And thats no boast.

it's a shame i agree with you hmm well i agree with your point but not in your argument yah? but well so here's the main idea

equality and fairness are two very different things.

equality and fairness are two very different things.

Thats the word i was looking for... fairness. I still stick to the belief of equality. Its not a extreme belief or anything of the sort. Its just something that will enable you to look at everyone you meet with a fair chance. A chance without all the judgement behind it. "Oh look hes black, white, chinese, blah blah." When you meet people wether ya admit it or not those thoughts are in the back of your mind due to all the racism we see everyday. Delete all these negative thoughts and just give every person you meet a equal chance, and guess what, i bet you it will make you an easier person to be with and get to know.

You hold a similar philosophy to me exial, I try to see each person as completely unique since they are. Race has never been a problem for me either, never thought any less of man because of the colour of his skin.

Aye, thats the way to be. Treat other how you wish to be treated.
