View Full Version : Any Tricks On Opening A Standard Neighborhood Gate?

There is a local neighborhood who's builder went bankrupt, so all that stands is a gate and paved roads with nothing else. I figured this would be a good "smoke spot" since it's close to my house and hidden very well.

Only problem is opening the gate. I've tried a few codes like 0000, 1234, 9999 with and without the * and # symbols. The gate for my neighborhood has an SOS box so that if a siren is going off next to the keypad, the gate opens. Unfortunately, this gate doesn't have one... probably because there's nothing built inside.

I've noticed that the gate is open during the day, I assume on timer since there's never any cars inside the gate, or anywhere outside. No construction vehicles, realtors, builders, buyers... nobody.

So, anyone know how to get through gates like these? Are there any "stock" codes the keypads come with? The brand of the keypad is DKS Doorking.

Thanks
Ross

Damn, nothing? None of you crazy computer-hacking pyro-loving maniacs have ever had to bypass a neighborhood gate?

The problem is, you just described every single keypad entry system known to man. Which is quite a few to pick through.

If it was just left like that try to find a way in either through an uncompleted section of the wall, or find a good spot to jump it

i say just give up... find another "smoke spot". or maybe just stop smoking. or you could alway just dig a tunnel underneath the wall... ive never heard of an entire neighborhood being surrounded by a wall though. Ive got it!!!! Buy some property there! You'll have it all to yourself:D

It needs to be stealthy and able to get back to normal. I don't want to just smoke here once and blow the spot by damaging everything.

It's a Doorking 1835 Telephone.

We actually found a spot in between the gates that is open enough for skinny people to slide through. Then we were chilling at a little gazebo in the front. Only problem with that is it's kinda sketchy leaving our car parked on the side of the road fairly close to the gate. It'd be a lot more chill if we could go through the gate somehow and close it again so nobody coming to the gate would think anything of it.

Stop smoking... HA! We've got ourselves a real comedian on this forum. And can't buy any property in it. I'm in SW Florida and the builder, like all of them, went bankrupt.

There are a couple methods to opening it from the inside. First if you inspect the box that opens the gate you should find a manual override button that forces the gate to open or unlocks it and allows you to manualy open it (Duh). Also if you go to the side where cars usually leave you can wave your hand infront of the motion sensor and trick it into thinking a car is comming so it will open automatically. =) good luck and good smoking
