Do some songs, at least for a short time, get you (sort of) high, you don't think anything, you feel some vibrations going trough your spine, you close eyes, start to move your body uncontrollably, but with the rithm of the song, and when everything ends, you feel light and peaceful?

i can see music making you feel different..like if i listen to a heavy crazy fast band like suicide silence i just rllyy wanna kick people in the teeth..but if i listen to something that is just kinda happy like owl city i do feel like the music..so i can see in a way you could say music can make you feel something that can be almost high in the euphoric way

Well, yeah. When I listen, like you say to metal, I sometimes go berserk, or get to do pushups and I do often more pushups than when I am not listening to the music. But when some letargic song is on, then I feel like all the energy out of me is sucked and I just want to rest. Unfortunately, I haven't heard a song that makes me get hallucinations...yet :D

Everything depends on the genre....

Yes and.. Music saves lives, Opens up our eyes, motivates us, Inspires Us.. It's not about the genre for me atleast.. It's about the message.

i wouldn't say high but it definatley effects my mood.....

newer modest mouse makes me feel better and sorta happy no matter what, their old shit makes me chill and think better (and i love the lonesome crowded west drunk or hung over now)

idk, certain metal makes me feel energized and such......trance music and reggae just make me wanna chill.......

so ya, not high but definie mood changes, maybe mental euphoria when it's really good but know feelings of physical euphoria like being high.......

unless i'm high and listening to good music, that's always good.

Sort of. I definitely agree with Crazyassmetalhead, in that some music affects my mood more so than my state of mind.

When I listen to Skankin Pickle, I get really goofy happy, as opposed to Splitting Teeth, which makes me want to punch things.

Music is the best way to get high in my opinion.
