I got a couple questions my buddy wanted to post for him because he recently got his 24" I mac stolen and he doesn't know what to do. I know apple has software that must be installed before it was stolen but my friend didn't get that software like an idiot so I was wondering #...
1.) Is there anyway apple can track it for you without that software? if so how much is it?
2.) Or do they give you the old fashioned "Oh I'm sorry to hear that but there's nothing we can do."?
3.) If the person doesn't connect to the internet with it, would there still be a way to track it at?
4.) Is there ways to make it untrackable like any programs you can install or things of that type.
5.) If they were to reload the operating system will that do anything to my chances of tracking it.
If anybody has any input please let me know. Thanks-Lightning

If they don't go on the net with it, Then Cops will have to get involved as for how else could you track them down? Through air waves? Also if they reinstall just say mac on it then your buddy is screwed till the thief gets caught by Cops.
