Okay, have a few questions, I've read through a lot of this, and I've gotten some really good ideas, but one of the questions that I didn't see answered was about my computer. I really like my computer and I saw mentioned a few times, once you go to starbucks and use the credit cards, you should ditch your computer. So I had an idea, could I go to rent a center and get a computer for a week, THEN go t starbucks and then return the computer? Do these places check what you've been up to when you return it? Another question is, I live in a very small town and it's pretty much an everyone knows everyone situation. I am a waitress, and it's a good job, that I would like to keep. If I only intended to use 3 cc numbers, did it with the rented computer at starbuck, had it delivered to a house were people were out of town, could I get these cc numbers from my job or should I go get another job for a day? Also, would it be better to make a lot of little purchases with a lot of numbers or is it better to just take the 3 numbers and do all my shopping with them? Thanks in advance, sorry if these were answered somewhere else, I couldn't find them.

By the way, these are all of course hypothetical situations, I would never actually do them.

Another question, would it be better (meaning less likely to get caught) if I just collected the credit card info and sold it to other people? Do people actually buy stuff like that?

You realize that they would keep a record of who rented the computer and trace you down that way right?

that's why I was asking, I figured they kept a record, but I didn't know if they would think to look through all of the computers at rent-a-center

Considering that VISA would be on the police officer's ass in a fraud case for the money you stole... yeah, they would look through all of them. It doesn't take that long and they would look for ones that have been rented out on that day first.

A rent-a-center computer would be easily tracked...

so what about just (hypothetically) getting the card numbers, expiration and ccv and selling them, is there a market for that?

well, first of all, you don't have to speak in hypotheticals here, and second of all, i don't know much about that but alot of people on here think it's the black market. you might find someone who is interested.

yes, there are places where cc's are bought and sold...

that's great that there are "places" would anyone be daring enough to tell me where those places are?
I'm already thinking it might not be such a good idea to be asking on here, I'm certainly not going to post it on my messenger status or something....

Ha ha.... dude, man, seriously?

Its not worth the risk. Unless you are overseas, you will eventually be caught.

Well if it is then:
"FUCK THE FBI!!!"

but seriously, I would apply for a credit card online w/ an extre***y high interest rate (they usually don't check background info with in the first week anyways with a really high rate) under a false identity, go to your rent-a-center or where ever, try to pay your down payment in cash first, but use the credit card with false info if that fails (give them a valid address of someone you hate and their phone #). That's kind of a half-assed idea, but build on it.

Also Google "how to make a false identity," that'll help.

not really sure what that is all about but ok....

anyway, I had an idea, I'm hoping you guys can pick it apart and tell me what you think of it. If I went to starbucks, took the cc numbers and used a wire transfer service (kinda like western union) and sent money from the cc to a prepaid debt card, because those always come with account numbers so you can get direct deposit...only I'd set the prepaid up under a false ID and be done with it before they figured it out...what flaws do you see in that plan?

well one rent-a-center has serial numbers on their computers so when you check one out your name is matched to it serial number, they'll track the stolen cash to your new prepaid debit card and then they'll track the purchases on the card, match your face(security cameras) to the locations the card is used at. if you let the cash sit then they'll probably freeze your account. then when you get caught you do time in jail and get marked as a felon forever, i say don't play with credit cards if you have no clue what you are doing...espeacially since credit card companies are trying to protect theyre costumers more.
