so putting a singer as a band is dumb, esecially when that singer was actually in one of the bands on the poll.

Metallica all the way man.
Without a doubt they are the best band in the universe. I have every one of their albums and the documentary. I have Divine Intervention too and a few Sabbath songs but nothing can compare to Black Album.

i think that Master of Puppets was Metallica's best. They seriously are awesome but so inconsistent! After Black Album they made shit music with a few exceptions. Why is no1 voting for Maiden or Priest? thats crazy they my 2 favourite.

I disagree. Ride the Lightning has always been my favorite. Either way, their music did get pretty bad after And Justice For All.. And I love Slayer, I actually wore the same Slayer shirt for the last 6 days lol (sick, sat around at home, didnt care to shower until tonight), but there are so many other metal bands out there. Just because they were some of the first bands doesn't make them the best, you know? Lots of talent on the scene these days. It's hard to pick even five all-time best, let alone one.

I like Slayer, they're the drums to Metallica's guitar.
There are some good bands out there, but they don't play the old-school Metallica/Slayer/Megadeth sorta music.
It's all emo and shit, until they start releasing good balanced music, I won't recognize them.
