Organized Religion

Organized religion is bullshit. Seriously, if you believe in God or anything else, that's between you and your deity, whoever he may be. That doesn't mean we need to gather people who have similar beliefs together, thats how religious prejudice gets started. Case and point, Islams. People hate them because of what's going on, but if it were just a matter of them and their god, nothing else, no other people, we wouldn't have a problem with them. Get a group of people together who have a common belief in religion, and shit goes to hell. That's why I avoid going to churches as much as possible.

Just my opinion on the matter.

I totally agree with you. That's why I dropped out of a church conformation program and became a Unitarian. And what I also believe that its a sin to attempt to convert people to another religion. That's why when the Jehovah witness' come to my house I usually come to the door with my M1A slung on my back or I randomly start sharpening a knife in front of them. I agree to all structered religion is bullshit and they all have the same foundation of the teaching just say the same shit different ways. The only thing i ever learned from any church was to hate other religions.

See that's what I mean about organized religion. It drives the evil out of people and forces us to talk about dying babies or Satan to get rid of evangelists. If people could just praise their own deity on their own without being in a group, maybe less people would have to run away from a psycho talking about dead babies.

I believe in jesus christ, to a point. I am an atheist, i firmly belive there is no God. I think jesus was just a normal guy with an idea, a revolutionary idea in his time. The idea inspired many people, but others were scared shitless, and saw him as a threat. Hence his followers, mainly the apostles, and his death. His resurrection thing, downright doubtful. Seriously, after 200-300 years or so of his story going around by word of mouth alone before ANYTHING was written down, especially in that day and age, how could the facts be kept straight?

And what did this start? the most predominant religion in america, among others. we're talking wars, the fucking cursades, not because of his ideas, but because of peoples reactions to his ideas.

Stop and notice one HUGE missing detail.... exactly what were the ideas anyway? probably nothing incredibly controversial, by todays standards, probably something allong the lines of world peace, but the point is that the goals were ENTIRELY lost in translation, the intent became muddled, and here we are now.


Can i fit another rant in the same comment? ah what the hell i'll go for it. just so you know im talking out of my ass, which is a hell of a lot better than plagerizing. Im an anarchist, 99%. (I only refuse to plagerize and follow traffic laws, the only laws with real reason)

Why do so many people flock to organized religion? I think i'll make a list....
-the promises. people have problems coping with their own permanent demise. an afterlife? any afterlife at all? that would be incredible. a perfect afterlife that never ends? Who doesn't want that?
- the fear. The fear of a few things, na***y hell. afterlife of pain would suck. plus, god has infinite power. (or so ive heard..)
- belonging. organized religion is a big thing, and almost nobody wants to be ostracized from society.
- Habit. well, the majority of members of organized religion are tought from an age where they belive everything.
- Craftiness. Seriously. As far as science and religion go, christianity especially does an incredible job of "logically" explaining things. its one of the basic human desires, to understand things. Which is part of the roots of religion, to explain how and why life started, why the sun is hot and why the sky is blue, among other things.
- lost my train of thought. fuck.
- oh yeah.... a REASON TO LIVE! big one here. humanity just can't cope with the fact that it's all one hugely lucky accident that defies all reason (but complies with the laws of physics unlike SOME things), this gives ample reason for humans to fabricate and totally support something that gives them a purpose, thinking that they are serving the greater good, and all that. this is the greatest form of brainwashing, by the way. look at the nazis. what the hell WOULDNT they do to achieve their goal, the perfect race?


Its not until you understand that you are NOT some part of anything greater that you can truly be free. Society is too diverse now for it all to possibly move as a whole and achieve something great without mass enslavement. Which in a way countries, governments, all authorities are doing. Every human has their own beliefs, but some never even realise them, never consider them, never know they are there, because from cradle to grave they are simply given others ideas, the ideas of the authorites. Right and wrong, for example. Countries will succeed in one, maybe 2 things.... enlaving many individuals like this and making them conform with its ideas, not the ideas of other countries, and therefore sparking unrest and eventually war. few really want war, but because of the clash in different authorities ideas, many individuals, with their own ideas and ideals never considered, will be thrown at each other and slaughter each other. the other thing, that may happen, that i swear i will never let happen no matter WHAT i have to do, and i hope you support me in this, that all of the world, all of humanity, will become a part of a single country, and al have to share the same or similar ideas. Even if the country had as many freedoms as restrictions, like America, so many individuals will never know that they have their own goals.

you must understand that the nly goal of society is survival. with that taken care of, thanks to technology, we are free to pursue pretty much anything else. but governments and countries will want us to help THEM, rather than helping ourselves. This isn't as selfish as it sounds. I merely want all humans to consider what they really want out of life. What is the point of this... going to school, getting a job, helping the workforce, helping your country in your own miniscule way? if it makes your country stronger, you must understand that that doesnt actually help you or any other individuals. its merely another number to the ego-politics that control much of the world. I'm not suggesting any ingenios way of getting there, because i'm just not that smart (maybe thats why im posting it here. maybe someone smarter will read it and have a good idea) but what i strive for and will always strive for is peaceful anarchy.



wow this was a long ass rant. i lost count, and kind of lost my structure in the end. i dont think ive gotten all my points across, but its a start and its late. i hope you read the entire thing, its not elongated with grammor and unimportant details, (like some novels or people who make long posts about nothing in general) its loaded with pure concentraded ideas, so it might be worth your time to read it.

looking back i kind of lost the whole organized religion thing and went ahead and covered everything else that came to mind. i guess, peaceful anarchy and chaos is the goal. hope someone can help reform my raw ideas into something more... feasable.
