View Full Version : Simple shut down virus

This isn't really a virus ... its simply a shutdown program which will make your friends freak out.
First, you will need to create a shortcut. You can create a shortcut by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting New, and then, Shortcut.

A Create Shortcut box should then open. In that box, write the following:
shutdown -s -t 30 -c "VIRUS DETECTED!!"
(note: the number 30 can be replaced by any other number. That number corresponds to the number of seconds before the computer will shutdown. Here I have chosen 30 in order to have enough time to close it before my computer shuts down. Also, the message between quotes can be replaced by something like "YOU HAVE BEEN INFECTED BY A TROJAN VIRUS" or some other great idea. However, the message must be between quotes.)

After, simply click on Next and a box with the name Shutdown will appear. Change the name that you want for it. In this case I have chosen Internet Explorer but it can always be renamed how you prefer.

After naming it, click on Finish and ... here's your shutdown virus!!!! Not very convincing he? Well, in that case let's change our icon!

Right-click on your shutdown Internet Explorer icon (or whichever name you gave it) and select Properties.

Select Change Icon
(Note: A box saying "system 32 does not have any icons choose from a diffrent list" or something like that may pop-up; if it does simply click on Ok)

Now... it depends on what you have named your shutdown virus ... If you chose Internet Explorer scroll all the way to the right and you will find the icon. If you did not choose Internet Explorer feel free to choose a different icon... Remember it has to be something that people will click on.

Now Heres our Icon ... Now it looks like something that people will click on.

the virus detected is just a message box there is no real virus

mario has discovered that you cant send it by msn and i new that you cant send it by email. Direct access to someones pc is the better option

Or, in games like GTA 3 and I guess a lot of older games have a batch file that you have to run the batch in order to extract the necessary core files for the game to run...

You could put that shutdown line at the end of it, so after it runs it finishes and shuts down... Then upload it to somewhere like "Thepiratebay.org" or BTjunkie.org or another torrent site.
That would only be if you wanted to scare people though. =p

That won't work on vista, but still, i always find it fun naming the file internet explorer or something, then changing the icon accordingly for maximum effect. Scares people shitless every time lol!

This has got to be one of the most useless wastes of time and database space I've seen on this site. Seriously?

Too bad there aren't any serious batch threads, it actually can be very useful to know for windows users.

Yeah, but everyone doesn't want to have to think to write code. They just want easy simple shit.

Her ravenscar, what browser[s] do you use??

you can go to http://IP-adress.com and go to their proxychecker, it displays a bunch of proxy IP adresses that people have recently checked in the IP:port format.

If you use Firefox you can get foxyproxy addon and just use the IP and port and add multiple proxies to switch back-and-fourth from. :D
http://www.opera.com/browser/turbo/

EDIT*
If you use Opera, they have a new feature for Opera 10 called Opera Turbo, where it automatically applies a proxy server/port while speeding up the web-page display.

Those are two good ways...

you could get privacyguard or some other anonymity software.
