Not really hacking, but it's a good way for pranking someone.

First find a disturbing image, gay porn, gore etc. and copy paste the url,
then find your alias link:

ex. http://www.anarchistcookbook.com

Then highlight the alias link and click the link button on top of the message control panel. The one that looks like an earth with a chain link, and past your true url into the pop-up.

You do realize that that doesn't hide the link. I hover my mouse and it tells me where I am going....

You said, "stupid people......" in response to people that go clicking away, but if you are able to do it right, stupid people can be your largest audience for an SE attack.
