I don't really know a lot about computers, but I am very interested in them and was wondering what I should do to get started with learning about them. Should I try learning C++ or Java? Any positive feedback is appreciated.

I wouldn't start with programming. If you want to lean about your computer start learning about the different components within in and learn how it works then take it from there.

No, I would still recommend starting with C++, because VB doesn't have the same paradigm as most other programming languages, and C++ does.
