Few times ago, a bresilian girl aged 14 or near had raped and get pregnant by her father-in-law. She was pregnant of twins, which made her in real danger of dead.
Abortion was the solution for saving her life and brazilian law allow it only after a rape or if the pregnancy is too dangrous for the mother.
So they did.
And this crazy brazilian bishop excommunicate the girl, her mother and the medical team who made the abortion. The Vatican support his decition.
Ho, I've almost forgot, the rapist father in law had just a "admonition" for the rape...
Is that just me or something's wrong in this story ?!?

There's a lot wrong with this story, starting with your grammar.

If the mother is in real physical danger, like this girl, it should be allowed, because then it's about one life for another. Although every effort should be made to save the babies, of course.
Although that is the only case I think it should be allowed. And none of that "mental health" crap. Too often they use "mother's health" to refer to mental, financial, emotional, where as physical is all it should mean, since most often there's obviously no regard for the child's physical health.

Well all i can say is that the christian holy bible and catholic holy bible are virtually the same thing. Take king james version. First raw english bible, same difference between the two very different religions. Catholisism came to pass not far after the Christian church was established. Its a twisted religion. While the same bibles say : Exodus 20:3 Do not have any other gods before me.
Exodus 20:4 You shall not make for yourself an idol whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
(hmmm these are scattered everywhere in catholic churches.)
Exodus 20:5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me,
1st Timothy 2:5
There is one God. There is also one mediator between God and human beings-a human, the Messiah Jesus.
(yeah they do that too. Making mary, and the priest the chief mediator between God and Man. In reality, putting Jesus's position as mediator between God and Man completely aside.)
And then all the other little things,
Isaiah 64:6
For we are all become as one that is unclean, and all our righteousnesses are as a polluted garment: and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.
Yeah, one thing i do remember is how Jesus shamed pharasies and sadducees all the time because their Holiness was only shown on the outside. The things they said, the clothes they wore, their positions. But none of that was equivilant to holiness
I could go on and on, but we believe it is wrong to murder unborn children, but of course a catholic church is supposed to by their own religion ban those members from their church.
If a christian church was to do that, that would be hypocracy. And lots of them do because they their foundation is messed up.

I think the catholic church should be allowed to excommunicate whoever they want.
If this story is true though, then i'd say the church needs to rethink their views on abortion.

but i wasnt merely expressing opinion. Thats why im using the scriptures as reference.
If the catholic church reads from the same holy bible as us, why do they make up their own traditions, rules and such? No where in either bibles does it say to excommunicate people from the church who have abortions. Anywhere. There was a case in the new testimate, and im still trying to find it, where Paul, the founder of the church told one of the churches he founded to excommunicate a man who had been sleeping with his step mother. To give him unto satan that satan would teach him a lesson, since He had no conviction and didnt even fear that God knew what he was doing. Then to let him back to the church after he had repented or learned his lesson.
Thats the only illistration that i can find about excommunication. Therefor, the Catholic church insnt impowered by any governing authority except their own made up authority to execute judgement on whom ever they please. Which is a direct conflict with the whole commandemnt to love, do not judge others, for there is only one judge.
James 4:12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judge your neighbor?
