View Full Version : Department Store Heist Scenario (Discuss)

*This is just for discussion or methods on how one might obtain larger payoffs through Department stores (WalMart, Radio Shack, ect.)*
So I've been going over different situations that may occur while attempting break in and steal from WalMart and so far a few hurdles have come up that I can think of;
One would naturally be Security Cameras, but I figure if you wear a mask this wont be a problem seeing you probably won't hit the same Mart twice (but maybe?)
Another obvious is Alarms, I'm almost certain large stores like this must have some Red Phone to the police HQ, and disabling it would be hard I would imagine. I don't think security guards are stationed 24/7 but even if they are they wouldn't be much of a problem I think (I'm sure if Walmart has guards they don't patrol the isles all night long)
I thought about entering though sky lights, Offloading/storage garage entrances, or Air/Fan ducts/vents as alternative entrances.
Those are the more pressing problems na***y the Alarm.
Once you get in the building safely it would be a matter of grabbing your loot and making use of the duffel bags sold there.
It seems that the storage/stockroom for the store would be the first place to go for large quantities of the same item / more valuable items and a place I would make my main target.
These aren't really questions just wondering if anyone had anything to contribute or add. I'm not a specialist in all these fields but I know some of you are, let me know what ya think of what I came up with thus far.

the way i see it you would need an INSIDE MAN, and a small group of possibly 4. POSSIBLY small handguns. and an escape rout. also a guy that can drive. i would get some blue prints of the building. i would say another thing could bee hot wiring a wall-mart truck parked in the back and simply load your shit up and drive off then drive out to the country and unload.
Sounds crazy but if your doing that big of a job your going to need crazy shit. you cant just Run in a place like that Masked up and grab and run. this will take serious planning! and seriously trustworthy people on your side. im not saying its impossible but your going to need to think things out with that big of a job you could really make Good profit pretty easy. but remember don't go for little stuff. go for the good Jewelry XBOX360 PS3 GAMES PC TV'S. big stuff and don't get greedy get the loot and get out. also having a guy stationed in a near by car with a police scanner is a VERY GOOD idea. at least you have a little security. if it gets to hot GET OUT don't fuck around.

Finding a inside man might be hard. I was thinking of a more stealth approach than a smash n grab but there's more than one way to skin a cat.
Possibly jamming a service door, during business hours, or steal a few janitor / staff keys and let myself in the back. I crew would be needed for security/moving the loot but I don't think more than 3 people.

hmm, you could get the keys. make copies and then return the keys or keep them. maybe hide a camera on the alarms system so when you get in you can shut off the alarm that would be PERFECT especially if you have a group and as far as an inside man, the way i got into this is i needed money and my friend asked me to help. i was 14 years old when i did my first B&E for a while i regretted it and then i looked at it as further helping myself. anyone can be talked into it if enough money is offered or high priced items, well almost anyone you have your typical mr rogers. but other then that its all fine and dandy. but if you wanna go stealth and are confident in your skills Go for it! i wish you best man. but i would really try for an Inside.

Yeah getting the security codes would be tough which would make an inside man optimal, I might have to go make friends with a cashier. Stealth only seems logical because I wont be hitting the same store twice, so If a few cameras spot a masked figure it'll be no biggie. I'm thinking the loading/unloading roll up doors in the back are my best bet and the alarm system is probably close by that too. I supposed I'd have to case the building and maybe wander into the back room accidentally.

fuck all that shit.
grab a sawed off, a mask, gloves, and about four buddies. find out a complete work schedule (easily attained by you and your friends going in and out of the store over a few days and taking notes on who's working, where, and when)
find the opportune night. cut external phone lines - alarms will not be a problem. all you need to do is look at a building schematic, which is more accessable than you'd think.
make sure you have everyone in the store under your control. cellphones can prove to be a bitch.
have fun.
btw, if you actually do this, then you're a fucking moron. no way you wont end up getting pinched. this is for informational use only and i certainly do not condone illegal activities. just get a fucking job and stop wasting my tax dollars on your stupid bullshit robberies. when you get caught, i have to foot your prison bill, and all other expenses you invalids cause because you dont want to work like a normal person.

I used to work at a furniture department store, we had a warehouse attached to it on the side. One night, 4 guys in a van pulled up to the pick-up door, and when our warehouse guy answered, they beat him down and accessed the store through the warehouse doors. They jacked up some tv's and other electronics, and filled up the van. Eventually, they were caught, when police nailed our warehouse guy for being the inside man. Dude was a mad cokehead who needed the cash (to no one's surprise, dude was sketched out). I think with a highly detailed plan like you guys are thinking of, the first place they would look is for an inside man, so you gotta have that figured out for sure... Good ideas though, I'd love to pull off an actual heist, instead of a plain ol' robbery. Something with finesse...lol
