Timed Program

Hey guys,
I want to know how to create a program that will launch another program/picture/video when it hits a certain date (like a smart bomb).

Extra credit if you guys can tell me how to piggyback programs on each other, so that when one runs, it launches the other.

my idea is to learn visual basic, javascript, then C++. but u can do this from vB right?

depending on how fast you learn? i would say.. 4-5 hours if ur a competent learner
