I chose to live a life without faith, and not because I felt "rebellious" either. I simply find most of the explainations given by religions to be well....unlikely. Science is the way to go for me.

And don't say stuff like "well science doesn't explain how the universe started during the big bang". I'm saying this not because science has its flaws like religion, but because science is simply unfinished. Science changes drastically as our understanding of it increases over time. Now she does not go door to door and talk to you about god, and she does not tell people they are going to hell. Organized religion is simply a method to control the masses and make money, and I am not just speaking about christianity. Blood has been spilt for thousands of years in the name of countless gods, people have been murdered, raped and mutilated because of their religion.

Take the holocaust for example. 6 million Jews where butchered because of their religion. Not the colour of their skin or their nationality but by how they devote themselves to a non-existent diety.

If people kept their religion to themselves and other members I would have no fucking problem with it. If somebody wants to go to church on a sunday and have to get up fucking early thats there choice. But when that person wants to enforce his religous laws and beliefs (such as banning gay marriage or sharia law) over other people who dont believe that then thats where it goes downhill.

I feel in a similar position with god, if you believe in a diety then thats fine, its your deluded illusion not mine. But again, when people try to use god as an excuse to commit horrific acts and justify their beliefs that is where the line is crossed, expecially since there is absolutely no, zilch, none nadda evidence for any said diety.

Actually I was just using Christianity as an example, as it is the largest religion in the world.

I can completely agree with both UK and Deuce, as both have true statements.
One might even say that the same way that "groups" of religious people, could be the same way Anarchy might not work in a real scenario.
Some people need a higher entity in their life to find support, and see structure, but sometimes this can go to far and get completely out of hand. You can get a man to worship anything if he's the type, so long as he's not educated on the science of it all. The only reason why Christians still believe in a god, is because over the time frame it has existed, they've made it so completely airtight as to prevent any disproving.

How that can relate to anarchy is that even if every body on earth had no god to worship, you would eventually get some mad man running around worshiping something. Look at how cults form, Half the people in a cult join because they're bored, and think it would be interesting, then get completely caught up in it and before they know it, they're off to the "Spaceship in the sky". The true danger of these things is if you don't take them seriously from the start. If you learn what you're getting into beforehand, then you can appropriately gauge whether or not your interested, and fit to participate.

In the same way you can eradicate moral law, and the urge to be social in people, you can just simply not eradicate the need to believe for some.

But the historical evidence is all circumstantial as for proving the bible. I mean, c'mon. God will never be proven or disproven.
