I'm wondering what tools, specifically, a burglar would use.

All help appreciated.

-Well, a number of paperclips and tweezers, for lock picking
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIvohfrDRDE
-A big fucking knife
-hammer
-rope, with mountain climbing clips
-headsets(If you have a base control)
-plastic explosive
-gloves! remember not to leave fingerprints anywhere!
-fake fingerprints, if you wanna fool the cops
-laser detection spray, contrary to popular belief, no laser systems will chop off your limbs, use rust away spray.
-mask
-body amour
-backup gun!
-cyanide, if you wanna kill yourself with pride if you get caught

NOW FOR MENTAL SKILLS!
karate level 5
judo level 4
parkour (ninja skillz)
lockpicking level 7

make sure you hotkey your weapons for easy access
use command prompt, type (`) and type (noclip) to go through walls!

I'M REALLY COOL!

Cover up as much as possible, even wear a hairnet or touque if you've got long hair. Get another pair of shoes that you can hide away afterwards so they can't place the footprint to your regular footwear. Gloves are a good idea for similar reasons. Just don't fingerprint the gloves before you put them on and use them.

Not contaminating and not getting identified is the key here. Use common sense and don't leave beer bottles that you used, etc, at the site.

If you know lockpicking or can learn it, yes, it is a good idea to take a lockpicking kit with you for various kinds of locks though. Personally however, I don't know how to use conventional lockpicking, so someone else will have to tell you about that bit of kit.

Bring a screwdriver and a multitool with something on it that you can slip into a door system and jimmy simple door locks with. The screwdriver can be used to take apart if it isn't all secured and put together from the inside of whatever you're getting into. For example...you can actually take the hinges off the wall if they mounted the door wrong, but you need time to do this. You'd be surprised how many target hardening security systems you can take apart with a screw driver.

It may sound kind of cliche, but wear something that's at least halfass camo if you're doing night break-ins. Dark greys and dark blues can be great for providing that extra little bit of optical coverage that keep you from being seen. Never use any clothing that you would wear on a regular day. In fact, hide it away where no one else will likely find it. If you suspect that they've got a good idea of who the suspect might be for one of these break ins, (you) then burn or trash the clothing you use for and just get new stuff next time. It's a good idea to conceal your face too.

Don't bring weapons if you can help it. People will be more inspired to either comply and interact with you, giving them a whole bunch more potential evidence and the possibility of identifying you, or they'll attempt to retaliate, and you'll be dead. Don't let it get out of control by turning a break in into a murder. That can't end good for you, and the home owner WILL kill you if you're being violent and they have access to weapons.

Remember to stay in control, and don't let it escalate. Fleeing is your best friend when something goes to hell. If you can get it, bring pepperspray or bear mace as a backup for someone who reacts violent to your intrusion.

He probably didn't know there was a theft's section? It's kind of hidden away in bullshit, and that's like the last place I'd look for theft advice...

Here's a great burglary tool:

a warrant.

Beat that motherfuckers!

It doesn't even have to be real, if you think about it.

2 guys + cop costumes + authentic looking warrant presented to people who've never seen a real one + cover story about drug charges for any adult males = all their portable stuff for "evidence"

thats actually pretty clevre lol
youd have to know who to hit and for what though, so youd need information beforehand but meh

That's not really burglary. That's....some kind of weird scam that people will pwn you in if they're on the ball. Wouldn't someone notice two cops that aren't cops eventually, and find out who you are?

probably, but you dont have to continously do it, just once n a while to get a little extra cash

1. a lockpick set, learn how to use it,
2. gloves, leave no traces and posibly a hairnet
3.walkie talkes if you have a partner or some other comunication device
4.a disguise!!!! most important, if anyone sees you they will tell officers what you look like, if you wear a disguise they will never suspect you

well, i personally bring:
lockpicks
flashlight
a few fireworks
pliers/wire cutters
screwdrivers
pocketknife/big knife
sharpie
gloves
rope
backpack
sometimes crowbar/hacksaw
etc...

dont get caught with the picks tho...theyre illegal in a lot of places.
or switchblades, fireworks, and knuckles...mostly illegal. dont talk much, keep it quiet when u do, blah blah blah....use common sense for the rest

How long do you need until you have opened a frontdoor with lockpicks?
And how long did you trained for that?

picking a front door takes quite a while depending on how much skill u have...beginners shouldnt try picking doors until they have gotten pretty good with padlocks. the easiest way in is thru french doors or a window. jimmying a window is simple, use a crowbar to bend the frame and disengage the lock, then slide it back. i train for a long time on my own doors and padlocks before i even try picking a target door...takes too damn long unless ur sure u are unseen and have plenty of time.

key word in this thread i believe would be "burglar" unless u have a miracle drill that makes no noise when drilling metal...

windsor357
April 23rd, 2009, 07:27 AM
your talking about being seen by neighbors, who gives a shit about noise at that point

new_elite
April 23rd, 2009, 07:29 AM
lol so what your saying is if the hear loud drilling noise at night, because they cant see anything then they wont be suspicious?

duckiemonster
April 25th, 2009, 02:43 AM
the point of burglary is to not be seen or heard...who the fuck brought up inevitable sighting? Idiot!

Wouldn't you need an alibi?( Correct spelling or no?)

duckiemonster
May 10th, 2009, 02:27 AM
an alibi is only as good as the person who verifies it for the cops...plus, if you did the job right, then you wouldnt need an alibi b/c u wouldnt get caught

to get over the problem of making noise, how about bringing a portable stereo or television and playing it just loud enough to cover your sounds?
if the neighbours, hopefully not knowing that the family is out will think that they have a window open and or their radio/tv up too loud
this will excuse any unecessary noise made in the house
and about discuises, why not change your appearnace after the job, e.g. hair style/colour? shave? get a tan? etc

Personally i do not know lockpicking, but spraying frion into a lock and going with a drill (or chisel if you need to be more silent) works every time no matter how complicated the lock is.

no it doesnt, you are wrong. It may break the mechanism everytime but doesnt open the door everytime. sometimes it renders the key completely useless, and now you still have a locked door. I hat idiots who dont know what they are talking about

lol bomb on me for my typo lol. You've never done it liar. So dont try to act like you know what your talking about, where did you get the freon? how did you spray it in the lock? What was the door to? How long did it take before the cops showed up ? are you faster than a police cruiser? are you a nigger? Answer these questions and i may stop hating you for being a retard but prolly not.

ilovetorobpeople

You can get freon at any place that sells AC units and in some cases at hardware stores (although i use my uncle's AC shop), if its an in knob lock which is the only times i've ever done it you simply spray it then tap, spray then tap, do so until you've pretty much knocked out the entire cylinder and the door should open as easy as fucking pie
albeit this only works with homes, and i only do it if it's an in knob lock, but i'd imagine with some ingenuity you ould apply it to other locks
no i'm not a nigger
no the police don't show up because i'm not some idiot who doesn't check for an alarm system first
and no i can't outrun a police cruiser
