View Full Version : How to mainline drugs safely

I'd like to attempt to prevent as many foolish over-doses and IV infections as possible, for I have lost too many friends already do to their mishaps, and would like to provide advice on how to keep things sterile, clean, and as safe as possible when attempting such an endeavor. Warning! IV drug use is very dangerous, and I do not intend to condone this form of use whatsoever, yet every individual is just that---an individual, and we make our own decisions. Therefore, if one is already headed down this path, or has in the past, let's discuss our experiences and share safety advice which may aid others in preventing meaningless OD's.

Clean syringes, sterilization, and good drugs are key. I'll elaborate further as soon as anyone else responds to this thread, otherwise It may have to be closed do to a lack of replies.

always remember, if it's dirty don't use it. even if you have burned it or heated it. if you have to use a flame to clean the needle than you shouldn't use the needle at all.

Agreed. Although, as long as YOU are the only one using the syringe, it can be reused---NOT SHARED! Just rinse it out with CLEAN water a few times by sucking up some liquid and squirting it out a few times. Not too much though, for using a spike more than three times tends to dull the needle making it extre***y painful to register a shot---AND REMEMBER TO NEVER SHARE SPIKES---To all of those out there who don't know any better!

Always have a clean spoon. Have some rubbing alchohol nearby for pre and post shot prep work. Have clean tie offs, and filtered (prefferably distilled) water nearby, and change it often. Try to keep things as sterile as possible, and don't rush and skip steps, I know EXACTLY how this can come to be---Don't do it! Your health is more valuable, and is worth the extra effort, rather than taking unnecessary risks, and rush for a shot of some drug---any drug!

this is a pretty interesting thread. i've never done it. but i'm kind of curious about it. it's not something i really plan on doing, but theres always a chance that i might sometime in the future. how do you know if the drug is good enough quality? and where does one even get a syringe?

Well, firstly the purity of a drug fluctuates, yet with experience/experimentation one can find and hold onto a reliable quality source. The syringes which work best for IV usage are called BD 1cc syringes (29 or 31 gauge), and in NY can be procured OTC with a valid ID stating that you are 18 or over. Other states have varying laws, but most do have some sort of needle exchange program, for it is a public service to prevent the spread of blood born disease (ie HIV, Hepatitis, etc). Also, a couple small bumps of good coke in about a 1/2 cc of water in a spoon will dissolve completely, and the water will have a 'true' coke flavor, if you know what I mean. However heavily cut coke, won't dissolve completely, although sometimes there are a few suprises here and there, but always remember use a good filter to suck the fluid up from the spoon. A good small piece of tightly wound up, STERILE pice of cotton, shaped like a ball works best, and remember to rinse the spoon and replace the filter as often as possible, prefferable every times one uses it.

it seems like this would be an expensive habit.
how does one go about quitting iv-ing?

I just never let it get ahead of me. I'll binge out for a week or two, and stop for four to six months, and yes it is an expensive habit, especially if one wants the good shit. I do not recomend that anyone do this, I have already lost two close friends do to their inability to control themselves. Not everyone has the willpower to use without abuse, and thus any info I share on saftey is to make an attempt to improve the methods used by those who are already doing this shit, and in no manner shall I encourage such means of drug administration to the imature, unexperienced, unwise, etc...

Can i add somthing, maybe shooting up in the shitter isnt the best place. You get spray from the toilet, sink, tub, shower, and there are all types of bodily fluides going around in that room. I know guy who shoot up steroids, did it in the locker room while he was shaving. he set the needle down on the sink, picked it up, used it. Got a infection in his muscles and had to get his arm amputated.

@ hypnos:its pretty amazing that you can successfully do that. i'm not sure i'd be able to. that and i'd be wicked afraid to randomly jam a needle into my arm without direction from someone who is a pro at it. it seems liek something youd really have to learn about or witness quite a few times before actually attempting it yourself.

Damn dude! That is nastly. I usually will do it in my room, and I'll have as much fore thought into cleanliness as possible, yet I understand that not all IV drug users get the luxury of such an option, so I'd just have to say that one must do his or her best to keep things in check with regard to saftey.

that must suck. i cant imagine having to take insulin shots like five times a day

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ewwww that's rediculous. i typically lance my infections but to try and drain an internal infection is just fucking stupid.
Holy shit, that's pretty desperate, but I can't say I haven't felt that way once or twice. IV'ing drugs is some serious shit. As I said I don't recomend it to anyone who isn't already doing it on their own...
I was actually originally taught by a close friend how to properly administer dosages, and practice self control. Afterward, I developed my own 'style', procedure, and methodology...
is there a way to take hospital morphine without injecting it?
also, my brother in law is a medic and is going to teach me how to put in an iv bag
could i administer morphine like this?
Hypnos
March 3rd, 2009, 08:43 PM
No! Forget the IV bag you'll OD! If the morphine is in liquid form then one should check the dosage on the bottle in mg per ml and drink a little starting with the smallest dose as possible, and SLOWLY working up to one's effective dose range. Also, the liquid morphine solution can be seperated from the water it is dissolved in by the process of evaporation. The crystal residue left behind is usually pure morphine sulfate, and one can take bumps of that if necessary...
it is in liquid
its in a vial for extracting with a syringe
Hypnos
March 5th, 2009, 12:38 AM
Yeah I know, but you can still break the vial and dry it out, drink it, or better yet just suck it out of the vial with a syringe, and then just pour the contents into a shot glass, dividing doses as you go. Unless of course, you plan on using it intravenously...that's a whole nother story. What is it that you wanna 'truly' accomplish with the morphine? Answer this question, and perhaps I may be of some assistance.
