I think I would...
I've never really thought about it though. I'm not even sure if I count as a christian haha

The whole "died for the sins of everyone on earth" thing, is kinda the reason everyone follows him as the "son of "God"". So if you were to stop him being the person that doesn't want to see him die and continue "spreading the word", you would only disrupt Christianity from possibly ever happening. Although, you may just end up seeing Mary Magdalene give birth to their child, and Jesus being with her and their child would be hunted down by the Roman Catholic church and smitten. We shall never know.

So I get the story of Jesus's murder and the whole bible shit and such...but it seems every time I got to church they talk about Jesus and God as one entity and say Jesus is God. So if Jesus=God then why did he die?

To take away our sins. A god dying for its creation, just think about that a second.

"God" is a word used to describe the existence of existence, its just that other cultures have created their own stories and theories on the hopes of answering the question "How are we here?", and have no real answer for the question other than the one they were raised or threatened to believe. The gullibility of the human mind amazes me.
P.S. This is just my theory on religion in general, don't be a douche and take it as fact.

I personally don't believe in the trinity so I don't really worry about that much. Most Christians would consider me a heretic for it but its what I believe.
I believe that Jesus was the second Adam, like he enabled us to become 1 with God again and help us resist our carnal side inherited from Adam.

I don't think I would. Either I would be too scared of getting nailed to my own cross for opposing Roman Law. Or, If I understood why it was happening, that it was necessary for us to be saved. And that if he didn't want to do it he wouldn't have to. He's the Son of God for crying out loud, he chose to be crucified. Sorry, got carried away.

i'm not christian.
but i had to study the bible for five years.
and i'd say no. although, if he didnt die it would have proved several sacred documents false. and that would have been an interesting situation

Yes, the entirety of the Christian religion hinges upon the death and ressurection.
I would be interested to know if you still hold that you would save him, freetibet, after having thought about it for a little bit.

No, he could have fled while in the garden of Yosemite, but instead stayed and waited for the soldiers.

he exists. if so many peopple follow him, there MUST be something. and how did we get here? the big bang. w.e but how did THAT get here???? maybe god did it in ways, not just outright. and maybe 1 day for god is 30000 trillion years for us... lets say there isnt for two seconds, what would you lose for believing in him? nothing.

i'm not so sure he actually needed to die and was in fact resurrected.
I'm not your traditional christian though...

What kind of Christian are you then?
Not to cause offense, and not to say that you can't or anything, but it seems that you pick and choose what bits you like and justify them by choosing the bits of Scripture that agree with you.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the whole point of being a Christian is Christ.
Oh, and SnipSnipe, again, several eminent scientists have postulated that the universe could have existed forever.
Science just can't (yet) show what happened before the big bang.
And just because a lot of people believe something doesn't mean it's true.
Look at 1984 by George Orwell.
Or Animal Farm by George Orwell.
Or Lord of the Flies.
Billions of people believe in Buddhism, Islam, and other religions that contradict Christianity.
How do you explain that?
And I lose my individuality by submitting myself to a higher power which I don't believe in.
That is something I refuse to do.
Just because "everyone else is doing it" doesn't mean I'm gonna jump off a b***** or believe in Christianity.

Well I do believe in christ. That makes me a christian right?
and about your comments on individuality. I think C.S. Lewis would have something to say about that
"Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it."
You think that by not being a Christian you're somehow original. Do you know how many people don't follow Christ? A lot more than do I promise you that. Now if you would quit caring so much about your "individuality" and just do what was right, that is when you would be truly original.

even if there is a god i have no reason to acknowledge him, let alone praise and worship him. all he's done is continually fuck me over. my vision keeps getting worse, i can hardly eat, i can't sleep, im allergic to almost all natural things, i have rheumatoid arthritis, every time i love something it gets taken away. god is a waste of my time and effort. the concept of sin is nothing more than a brainwashing device to keep one from discovering and excelling in what can grow to be a life long passion.
my dislike of religions and disbeilif in god is not in a want of individuality, it is the result of years of theological study constantly proven wrong by what die-hard christians would call "tests of faith". well, faith goes nowhere when paranoid hallucination take you over to the extent where you slice open your own chest. i have no faith. no trust. no beliefs. they're not worth the disappointment.
::EDIT::

I doubt there are many who shun Christianity for want of originality.
My motivation is that it's a complete and utter crock of shit. The idea of a supreme being seems rather absurd to say the least, let alone all the other crap <insert religion here> weighs you down with.
Fuck that, i can "find peace" in a cigarette.

You're life is miserable because you chose to be unsaved. Did you're boyfriend give you permission to access his computer? If not I suspect he needs to keep you in line.
