Does anyone have a link to where I can download a newer version of Visual Basic? I've tried googling, and nothing. I've also tried torrents, most of the files were corrupt. But if anyone has any websites with a free download of VB, it would be much appreciated.

And yes, I know VB is a newb language, but I need to start somewhere, right?

Thank you guys, I probably would have found them sooner or later, but I could hardly function last night >.< The fact that I could manage to get on here is a miracle. But thank you for the help.

And as for programming, I already fail at it. =D I just wish to improve.

Well, I'm glad to have the express version, it works much better on Vista, but I can't seem to open my old programs with Express, since I made them in 6.0. It says it can convert everything over, but it just fucks it all up. Any suggestions?

Even if there is no way to help with this problem, I believe I could recreate most of my programs. But unfortunately, as simple-minded as I am, I cannot load .ocx files. Yes, I use .ocx files, but these are only for my older programs, I just would like to try and get everything in working order. So if anyone knows how to load .ocx files to Express, any help pretty pretty please with sugar on top?

Hey m00s3m4n, you just did a thing called "necro"-posting. Most anywhere else in this forum you'll get banned for it, but luckily, ishkur doesn't. Anyways, necro (latin for dead I believe) posting, it means posting on a dead (old) topic. Old is 4 weeks or more. But if you add something useful, generally people don't care. Thought I'd just inform you.

Whether this is useful or not is subjective.

Necro isn't Latin. A quick search revelled it is Greek.

Defunctus is Latin for Dead ;)
