There has been enough banter and debate about this accross other threads so now it is time to put it to a vote.
What is the most awesome spirit. Vote based on taste, how drunk you get and how you can mix it. tell us what you voted for and give explanations.

I choose Whiskey because for me it is the easiest one to throw back straight and if you get a really good brand like Glenfidich or Chivas Regal you will never need to mix (The same cannot be said for brands like McCallister or Ballantines which taste absolutely foul when straight but mix really well.) I just realised all the whiskeys I just reffered to were in fact scotch whiskey...i need to broaden my horizons.

thats my vote if i can get drunk its alright, sure there are some preferences but in the end its all dandy

Vodka is my first aid kit when I go out to play shinny and take a wrist shot to the balls.
Vodka is fairly cheap and I can get it for 1/2 what liquor stores sell it for.
Vodka is one of the few things that I have yet to puke because of.
Vodka gets me quite drunk quite quickly.
Vodka has my vote.
