Anyone know ways to cut glass vertically with a standered glass cutter.

you could do it the hard way and plant an explosive charge on it

What kind of glass cutter? The ones I saw on ebay were all like exacto knives with a diamond tip. It should be fairly easy to cut with that. Just make sure you have a suction cup to grab the glass after you cut it.

Probably the best bit of advice.

A lot of alarm companies are including 'glass break detectors' in standard packages these days. These devices basically constantly scan for a distinct frequency emitted by breaking glass. So, that's another caveat to be aware of. I'm not sure if cutting and removing glass violates that frequency or not.

What kind of info were you looking for?

It's pretty standard actually, they told you get a glass cutter. Also, they told you use a suction cup, this isn't true, tape'll work.

Suction cups are better as they allow you to apply bias to the glass, which will cause a shear at the line created by the glass cutter.

Yeah. Suction cups are alot better. When using suction cups your much less likely to crack and potentionally shatter the glass.

You guys are silly as fuck, theres something called a Dre***, and glass cutting bits for them, put two and two together, you can cut however the fuck you like with it.

Hey a brick or a rock works just as well but we're trying to be subtle. Glass cutters offer a low noise option which is always good if you're trying to avoid detection.

Some dre***s are pretty quiet, some are loud. Get one from a art store, you can find them that just make a low buzz.
BTW with glass bring a oiler gun, like for drill press', it will help with the noise also.

Either way, they already said glass cutter quite a bit ago. So, something that cuts glass would be? Any one? Any one?

and by the way, glass etching takes a bit of time, but it's pretty silent.

Also a MAP Gass torch with a cutting head is hot enough to burn through glass you could use that in some situations and it will not set off most alarms but its generally easier to get around it then to go through it also picking locks is usually a lot less risky than cutting glass, if you do have to cut it then, i would need to know more, can you break he glass, is it tempered glass, how thick is it, also how high off the ground and in what basic type of building.

also when dealing with glass don't forget about those alarms that are triggered by the sound of breaking glass

GuyFawkes

there are some glass cutter that resemble pencil compass with a suction cup in the middle and you spin the diamond blade to make a circle and pop the glass out

twenglish1
July 12th, 2009, 10:08 PM
are those real? or is that just in movies? cause i have never seen them except in movies

GuyFawkes
July 12th, 2009, 10:49 PM
i've seen them on spy sites but i cant remember the name bought some stuff off of it a while back got night vision goggles

twenglish1
July 12th, 2009, 10:56 PM
thats cool i want night vision goggles, if i did get a circle glass cutter even if i didn't use it to break into someones house it would be a priceless reaction when they see a perfect circle cut out of their window

GuyFawkes
July 12th, 2009, 11:05 PM
that would be funny how about going to an office with a big window and make a smily face out of circles and just for laughs using a glass etching chemical right why so serious

Suction cup FIRST. Then scoring, then tapping. I have more or less the same as the one in the pic below, its a hand-me-down from my grandfather but it works wonderfully. The teeth are for breaking, like if u score a sheet in half. The end u can use for tapping (ball end). Suction if first so u don't put ur hand through the class trying to get the suction. That sets off alarms, trust me.
