Tool is one of my favorite bands. I own the lateralus record, and 2 of their cds. Which is a lot considering i can just download all their stuff.

Here are some of my favorite lyrics from them:

"Don't look me at like I am a monster
Frown out your one face, but with the other (you)
Stare like a junkie into the TV
Stare like a zombie while the mother holds her child,
Watches him die,
Hands to the sky cryin "why, oh why?"

Cause I need to watch things die from a distance
Vicariously, I live while the whole world dies
You all need it too - don't lie."

-----

"The devil and his had me down
In love with the dark side I'd found
Dabblin' all the way down
Up to my neck, soon to drown.

But you changed that all for me
Lifted me up, turned me round

So I, I would wish this all away

Prayed like a martyr dusk to dawn
Begged like a hooker all night long
Tempted the devil with my song
And got what I wanted all along"

-----

"I know the pieces fit cuz I watched them tumble down
No fault, none to blame it doesn't mean I don't desire to
Point the finger, blame the other, watch the temple topple over."

-----

"This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality.
Embrace this moment. Remember. We are eternal.
All this pain is an illusion."

so ya great shit, anyone know if they're gonna do another album or tour any time soon?

They have been together for a very long time, I bet they will tour again. They didn't do a farewell tour or anything right?

All i know is my dream is to be 21, get drunk as shit, and then go to a tool concert and continue drinking. That's basically all I want to do with my life lol

edit*
would you guys consider tool a metal band?

wow you have big dreams for your future.

hmm... yes i think i would consider them metal, sort of drifting towards alternative/rock though.
dunno, im not very good at catergorising music.

but i will be very very very happy if they make another album.

Well there is more I want to do with my life... but going to a tool concert is the only important one. lol jk

I doubt they will make another album. I bet they go on at least one more tour though.

i don't think they'd tour unless they did another album, but i'm sure they have at least another album or two in them as well as at least another tour, can only hope.

new enough, when did 10,00 days come out, 2005? cause they toured last in 07, so that still would technically be in support of 10,00 days, right?

idk i'm not sure when it came out.

I'm not sure either... I hope they make another album though, because they would almost certainly tour if they did. Then I could fulfill my life's dream!

lol seriously I would go all the way to China if thats what it took to see them.

did you buy the 10,000 days album? Their art things with that were sick

They are good band, I like the brief work James did with Rage Against the Machine.

Both really good bands

here is the intro to third eye blind:

Think for yourself
Question authority

Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening,
terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in
this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities, the political, the
religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by
giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their
view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and
learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness;
