Wifi - WPA PSK help + Blocking Computer from LAN

alright im new to cain and able and i dont feel like download BT at the moment since I hear CA is the best, well for my own reasons I need to crack or decode my wifi router which is WRTU54G-TM - Netgear brand. and the person who Im living with is a complete douche and changed the user - password from the default so what I want to do is go to the router admini get THAT password and such because i think I need to be on that to block the MAC or static ip (not sure if its DHCP) sooo

How do I use CA for wi fi capture and hash decode, password is WPA PSK

and after thats dealt with how would I block a computer from the router. (hardwired)

btw this might be an issue, Im doing this off the wifi i want to crack but i dont know how to get the password of it so idk if i have to be hardwired to it or can i just ARP er whatever

AHAH!! well i got the password. but in a way different way well i did learn something from ur post deathlord but I couldnt get it to work anyways like i said this computer has the WPAPSK password and it works but i couldnt view it since it was encrypted.. well anyways way different way of me finding it, i was looking around and i checked Edit Boxes on the Decoder tab and I added the list and there it had the password typed in the Netgear WN program, so i tried that, now that Im on the router menu, i gotta learn how to block a specific comp from being able to get on

are you trying to block the computer that is on your network? or a remote computer from connecting to you

well im on the same Wifi and hes connected to the router, and hes not computer savvy so all i want to do is make it so his computer cant connect to the internet but i can still use wifi. i got access to the routers ***** menu cuz i think i need to be there to do it




-actally nvm, i found what i had to do my snooping around the router settings, i check the routers client list and found the MAC and IP of the computer i want to block so add that to service i want to deny and got it =]
