Has anyone here read "Heaven And Hell" by Aldous Huxley? If so, anyone want to discuss it? Meh, i'll continue anyway. The book essentialy builds on points made in his previous work, "The Doors Of Perception". It brings up the point that, in societies and religions throughout history, people have attempted to experience the sections of their mind not explored normally, due to suvival instincts taking priority. It discusses ways in which we can attain this higher state (albeit, in a temporary way), from Mescaline and LSD, to strobe lights and meditation. I highly recommend it, seeing as it is now published with its predecessor, "The Doors Of Perception".
