its a laser diode inside a laser housing mounted on a mini mag flashlight. The laser diode is from a dvd burner, the housing comes separately. The laser it produces can pop balloons and light matches.

i saw this online and want to make it. but i don't want to waste my money
so has anyone here already made it?

I read somewhere that these lasers burn out quickly. You need a capacitor or something to regulate the flow of electricity to the laser.

You can also do this with a BlueRay diode, but you can't look into it at all, because it will instantly damage your eyes.
