I am currently under construction of a single snap barrel shotgun when I came across something which is holding me back from finishing the design. the trigger system, so I am asking what would be a simple design for a hammer shotgun.

If progression goes as planned I will post an end result in the next 2-4 weeks and will later begin designing a three barreled shot gun if possible (one .308 over two 12 gauge)

I have access to almost anything that I'd need for this project.

What about instead of a trigger what about a spring loaded firing pin that you pull back and let go. the idea is you have a tube with a hole in one end and a cap on the other end, inside is small round bolt like thing with a firing pin on the end and it has a handle. there is a spring inside the tube and a cap on the end. Hope this makes since.
