Been there, done that.

I spent 4 years on and off with a girl. She had a lot of problems, and was sent to a shelter til she turned 18. I spent nearly another 4 years waiting on her, and trying to contact her, but when I found her, she didn't want anything to do with me.

Through those 4 years I was like you and couldn't stop thinking about her. Everyone told me I should move on, but I needed closure. When she said she didn't want anything else to do with me, it hurt, but it let me move on.

Maybe what you need is closure. Do you still feel you want to date her? Is something in your mind telling you that she may still want to be with you? Is there an experience with her that you have not experienced, and wish to experience it?

I don't have the answers, but I can encourage you to find a solution. Is she still your friend? Can you contact her? Is she the approachable type? Maybe you should talk to her and tell her how you feel. If you can talk things out, it might not bring you back together, but it may bring about closure.

Once you have closure, you can start to move on and heal. Hope this helps.

I talked to her for the first time in a long time recently so we kinda got "closure" which helped a little. Maybe i should just give it more time.

Ahh, that sounds like my situation. I guess the best bet is let time heal everything. Don't go looking for girls, one will come to you. You'll know her when you find her, because she'll be like your best friend.

That's where I'm at now. I met a girl earlier last summer, who is like my clone only changing the chromosome. We have everything in common and can be friends, not just lovers. Only thing I'm a little worried about is her age. She's only been around the sun 15 revolutions, so that could get me in some deep dookie. I am gonna pursue her though. I'll talk to her mom, and maybe she'll allow it.

Anyways, I got off on a tangent. Just wait it out, and let time heal everything, and eventually a girl will come your way, and she'll be right for you and make you completely happy.
