exploding bomb launcher

hmmm...potato cannon with a small pipebomb with a long enough fuse it will be far away by the time it go boom? or a remote detonater so that it gets to target then u press button, it go boom....or an explosive which is shelled in a hard case and has a tip which can work like a gun's firing pin which hits a primer explosive which sets off the main explosive.....im sure it isnt too difficult to come up with ideas, base them off of current rocket launcher designs, then modify them so that you can fire them from a potato cannon? such as the pressure tip, which when in contact with the target hits the pressure sensitive explosive (blasting cap?) and sets off the wrest of the explosive (plastic explosive maybe?) not hard to make, all you need is to manufacture the shell...i think you might be able to make a potato cannon which can fire coke cans, then cut the tip off of a coke can and epoxy a small funnel to the end and place something in the funnel which is lightly secured (such that it doesnt move when moved around, but upon impact will shoot back and hit the pressure explosive)

(i just came up with this idea, i dont think it will work, unless it is perfected, i dont have the time to perfect it right now, so umm have fun getting it right....)

like i said, it would take some perfecting...first you would have to have a separate container for the blasting charge and the main explosive, and then you would have to have an impact point which triggered the blasting charge.....i would have to work this out exactly in order to be more detailed...so i wont bother now....

if i try this, i will post my results and hopefully as many pictures of the aparatus as i can get, but right now i dont have the time to be making all the shit i would have to just to get started...so someone else have fun trying to get it to work....dont look in the barrel unless you really have to see the projectile is fitting right.....then, go ahead.....and its not my fault if you get your head blown off...

its entirely plausible that they would arrest you for having it, but it would probably be an overnight holding, seeing that there is very little chance of them being able to prove your intent to do anything with it......

You could get this to work if you cut a coke can in half and stick in your explosive put a blasting charge in get a funnel and tape it upside down on the top of the can and then lightly tape a bb or small rod in the whole of the funnel.. fire the cannon and theoretically on impact if the rod or bb was hit the bb or rod should fly into the bottom of the can and BOOM

yeah, thas actually what i was imagining it would look like, im just no good at making those ascii images.....so i couldnt give you a visual....in theory it would work, but its gonna be a bit difficult to perfect...and a bigger impact area is best, altho this does increase surface area, which will slow the rocket......which i dont think we want.....

i need to build this and prove the concept, but i need something to blow up......and i dont think most people want me blowing up their houses/cars...i think i will hit a tree in the woods with it, modified to be a smaller explosion.....i dont want the danger of setting the forrest on fire, just a proof of concept which i could perfect and use in times of need to protect myself from any aircraft i deem hazerdous to my health...

whell perhaps a buffer to create friction on the projectile, such as a styrofoam wall around the inside of the potato cannon which isnt really that thick...or just using a smaller ammount of fuel....

slowing down the projectile w/o limiting the fuel, i offered 2 methods, not one.....limiting the fuel may just cause it not to fire correctly, so you could add the buffer to it as an alternative if limiting the fuel doesnt work....

fired properly? what do you mean? if it fires properly, it would blow something up, if it fired improperly, it would blow you up, hence i recomend perfecting it before trying to make a bigger scale explosion with it.......use weights that weigh the same as the projectile will when it has the actual explosive in it so that it will be an accurate test.....dont fire the projectile first....otherwise, you may fuck yourself over and have it land 5 feet infront of you and go boom....

for my testings i will be using small amount of explosive not alot as i could go boom if it dosnt fire correctly and im going to usea fuse for testing so i can be a little bit further away incase it does land a few feet infront of the launcher and go boom ill try various things and post my results on the things i do try

yeah,I didn't read both pages,so if n e 1 posted this idea before,my bad.make a regular potato cannon,then modify it so that you can fire it with a co2 tank(like for a paintball gun)then use a pipebomb as ur explosive and have the fuse long enuff to protrude from the barrel of the cannon,aim,light fuse,watch and laugh as ur target gets a nice tan. :twisted:
