should i switch from python and try to learn a different language? Right now I dont think it matters because im still just barely doing the extreme basics and python supposed to be one of the easiest to learn. I dont really want to switch and have to get started again unless I really should because from what i have seen on this forum VB is perfect and awesome for everything. I just want to know if it really matters if ure just starting to learn.

yeah vb is nice, and when righting codes it tells you the errors your making unlike other languages like html or java that you have to look threw the code to find the errors, i like vb

Not to sound like a douche, but comparing vb and html is fallacious. html is just formatting data, not actually interacting with it or running it through a process, it just tells your browser how to render certain text. VB was made to parse data and make programs. But in response to the original question, I would recommend switching eventually, but maybe not till your a little better with python. Python isn't a bad language as long as you don't develop bad habits with it, the same goes for VB. I mean, most of what google does is coded in Python.
If your looking to get into web design, then I would recommend PHP over VB, as php would be easy to pick up after python. Then again, if your going into web design, html/css is probably priority #1.
If your staying with making software, I would recommend that you stick with python till your atleast semi-proficient with it, then switch to something like VB/Java/C++ or C#

dont try to sound smart when you are wrong omni
he was just saying it is unlike html how you have to search for the errors yourself
you can legitimately compare the two that way
also why would you bother learning the syntax of one language just to switch to another
the sooner you switch the better, that way you dont have any habits yet

all i know is html so I don't know much about this.
but i'd say stick to python. the worst that could happen is you have to learn another language. but then you'll know 2 which is a good thing in my opinion.
