Agreeing with the second part... well mostly. I listen to Coldplay often, couple times a week; and yes, they do have that sound... just puts you out of whatever mood you're in and makes you zone out.

x&y has to be my fav CD, I haven't quite had the chance to listen to the new one, but Yellow, Speed of Sound, Clocks... ect... those that just make you "zone" as someone said, I enjoy the shit that no one else does prolly, Emmure, JFAC, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, ect lol BIG dif from coldplay

I really do like coldplay and think they are a fairly good band..

The Scientist i can say is my favorite songs just cause its a bit of like a sad song but kinda helps when i get down bout a friend who died a little over a year ago, but even before that i liked it.

So when i def feel like soning out or just taking it easy with some background music this is a band that comes to mind

Viva la Vida (both the song and the album) kicks ass. So does A Rush of Blood to the Head. Viva la Vida, Violet Hill, and Clocks are my three favorite songs ever.
