I have a Microsoft Excel document that I will be spreading around to my users. Is there a way where when it saves the document it can automatically send it to me?

send it via the internet... wow, isnt that brilliant. now, lets use our brains here... there are a lot of ways that you can send something via the internet. You can email something, you can run file transfers.. you can so all SORTS of things.

So what did you have in mind exactly?

MY FUCKING GOD. 'Ajax' ... is that enough for you to fucking Google for?

ishkur, when you google ajax, does anything about using ajax with excel come up? No, it does not. Googling ajax will bring up tutorials ON ajax, which is not what I want. Likewise, neither does googling "ajax and excel" , "microsoft excel and ajax" , "Sending information from excel using ajax". Like I said in an earlier post, please use your brain before posting.

i hope you are joking that you have already googled it. i found everything you need to have to get set up with ajax in 30 seconds (literally) and yet i know sweet fuck all about computers.

you fail at google... and life.

To my understanding, what you are trying to do is somewhat out of the ordinary. When you want something out of the ordinary you often have to set it up/make it yourself. Ajax (after googling) is "a group of interrelated web development techniques used for creating interactive web applications." In layman terms: away to use javascript and xml to simply and effectively make programs for helping you on the web to the extent javascript and xml are capable to. (correct me if i am wrong).

After googling, my sources are:
Ajax (programming) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AJAX) (first link on google when googling "ajax")
AJAX Tutorial (http://www.w3schools.com/Ajax/Default.Asp) (halfway down the page on that same google page)

If your not willing to put time into this and make it yourself, then your pretty much SOL unless you get lucky and stumble across a program. Its also not advisable to be pissy with a seasoned member that has nearly 1000 posts, while you, yourself only have only 3% of his total amount of posts.

You want an application that will magically send something to you without some poor sap at the end of the connection knowing about it, thats what I've gathered from your idiocy.

Now, Ajax, as that one other guy explained, is a method of manipulating data in a way that makes the actual interaction between the client and the server seem almost.. transparent, non-existent, fucking fantabamagical.

Im sure if you were motivated enough and had some elementary skill in c++ programming you could cook up some way to apply that to transparently sending an Excel workbook to yourself without an end-user knowing dick about it.

and as the other guy said, dont fuck with Ishkur.
