It is.

May 7th, 2006, 02:04 PM
can you extract it?
Cuddles
May 7th, 2006, 02:59 PM
probably...or you could try pure calcium.....
or phosphorus in air instead of water.....as soon as it dries(if stored in water) it catches fire.....
im not sure how to extract sodium exactly, being that it would have to be separated into ions from table salt, then pulled by an electrode, and you cant use water cuz it reacts explosively with water in its pure metallic form.......im sure there is a way....
edit: thought i would add: if you get this shit, its fun to throw it down toilets in schools after some1 takes a big shit....cuz noone ever really flushes the toilets in a school.....

Calcium wont realy do anything. and if you want a better effect, ya sodium does work but elements directly below sodium on the periodic table work alot better such as cesium or potasium for example

Ok guy I'm looking for a simple but effective "bomb" that I can make with household items, I'm not a big chem fan and don't know all of the scientific names u guys use.

all the way to the left, they all react with water, the farther down to the bottum the more reactive. starting with lithium, all the way to francium
