so i saw this site that if you type in an ip it'll tell you the host, dns and location of that ip. and it zooms in on it.
i already b*****d the connection between my computer and my xbox and xboxlive is all up and working, so i can steal host and to all sorts of connection manipulation ;)
but now i wanna take another step further, i wanna go into a random room and wait for somwone to talk shit then say "DON'T FUCK WITH ME, I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE!" then they'll say "*laugh* no you don't" then i'll do my shit. but my command prompt is being real gay, i typed in netstat -b and it pops up for just a second then disapears..... wtf... so i can't get teh ip. also there are many different ip's, like one's from the xbl server
and the bungie server, i want to identify those and get the other one's. and how do u get ip's via email and via forum?
all SERIOUSE help would be greatly appreciated
smurf out, good night

with the cmd prompt, are you opening cmd prompt then typing it or opening a program? cuz once a program which uses cmd prompt finishes, it exits cmd prompt.....

as in tracking an ip thru email? click the advanced view button in ur email account, altho usually all you get is the ip of whatever website they use...unless they use outlook express...which i know of quite a few people who do...it shows their ip and stuff....i have not really used any other email account than yahoo recently, so all i can say is that for yahoo, go to your settings and set it for advanced view instead of normal view, and it will show you all sorts of shit....
if you want to talk to me on aim, you have to tell me, cuz i have a block on everyone who's not on my buddy list....(stalkers) altho i dont know that that comment was directed at me, i thought i would offer that info....

oh and when i tell them where they live, im always about a mile off, and the marker poits at a non-residental building.
proxy?

its possible they are using a proxy...altho its more likely that theyre isp is far from theyre house, if you wanted to find out exactly where theyre house was you would have to track down theyre isp's name and theyre real name and call the isp and ask for as much info as they can give you and try to go from there......

Well, one mile off is better than nothing. Expeccially considering xboxlive is like over mu;tiple continents and stuff.

What the heck is "accotionaly" supposed to mean?
Cuddles

i think he means occasionally...and occasionally it would, if they have a dedicated (or 'static') ip, there is a chance it will point directly to their house.....
if you want their ip, set up a website that you have that they will be interested in going to, or you can convince them to go to, and put an ip logger on it....if you cant write a ip logger, i can get you one fairly easily....
ask and ye shall recieve.....infact, i might just have to put one on my site now that i think about it....when im not writing a massive essay that i should be writing now.....and i probably wont be writing it till 8 or so tonight, and its due tommorow.....
i think the best thing you could get would be their mac address cuz its permanent and specific to the computer...altho its probably not the easiest thing to get ahold of.....
