anywhere basicly go to a dollar store or even a grocery store its common. also if alcohol isn't available you can just use water although some slight heating in the oven is necessary to evaporate the water from the hygroscopic mixture. Also the string isn't going to dissolve you just want to get some of the stuff on the string and allow it to dry

if its just to get the stuff to stick, do you think you could use a juice mix to make the water stickier???

You don't 'want it to stick.' You want the string to absorb it. Then allow it to dry. soak the string in the mixture then let airdry = fuse. Juice mixer = wtf?

the KNO3 dissolves and recrystalizes hardening the mix onto the string, by adding sucrose you would slow the burn rate and fuck up the oxidation

aaah, thank you, firetime, i was only asking cuz i wanted to know if it would work....i like alcohol too much to use it on my fuses....but i suppose i dont really need it.....

i wasnt the one who said to get it to stick, the person above me, who i cant be fucked to learn who said it was just to get it to stick, so i asked if it would help to add a juice mixture to it to get it to stick better.....and if sucrose would just slow the burn, i suppose i shall try that for a slower burning fuse one day....probably not today tho....

a simple and predictable way of making a fuse is to get cigarette papers and roll it into a cone next pour in a mixture of fish tank oxidising tablets and charcoal at a ratio of charcoal 2 and oxidisers 1 its predictables and moderately combustable
